CREPS was created in 1945 and implanted in Talence. It is a public establishment of 15 hectares connected to youth and sport ministry. The CREPS hosts high-level athletes, so that they can train themselves and also continue school, and interns studying for jobs with youth and sports. CREPS is settled in a very nice environment, near schools, universities and 20 min by tram to Bordeaux. It is also surrounded by nature, big historical trees, etc.
CREPS and the city hall of Talence contacted Concordia with 2 wishes:
to renovate the chapel and to create great exchanges with the local population.

PROJECT: For the 14th time we will organize a workcamp with the city of La Motte Servolex. The goals are both to improve La Motte Servolex townscape and to give to local youngsters an opportunity to participate in an international project. During the project several cultural, sports and other leisure activities will be organised.
WORK:
You will participate to a project aiming to the renovation of a wood shelter located in a park where loads of events are organized: parties, concerts, conferences… The woodwork purpose is to replace the original wood with sustainable wood. Other complementary tasks may be entrusted to volunteers (painting, building work…). Therefore, technical learnings will be wide.

In Savoie, a few kilometres from Chambéry. La Motte Servolex is a town with approximately 12,000 inhabitants. This town is located nearby the Bauges or Chartreuse, not far from the lakes of Bourget and Aiguebelette, the cities of Annecy and Aix-les-Bains or the vineyards of Savoie.

PROJECT: This is the 5th workcamp in Thiers sur Thève, near Chantilly and Ermenonville's forests. The village wishes to host volunteers and contribute to the renovation of its small church and to the development of its heritage and its local life. Indeed, it's a small village, without shops, which has maintained its rural characteristics. To resume, it's a quiet and an environmentally friendly workcamp.
WORK:
Volunteers will picket the outside walls of the church and joint it. The cut of stones will be probably needed. Be careful, there will be work on scaffolding.
LOCATION:
Thiers sur Thève is located in the Regional Natural Park "Oise Pays de France", near the Val d'Oise department and Senlis town. You will be in the centre of Chantilly's forest, near its renowned castle and horse facilities.

Situated near the river Allier, Pont du Château is a town committed to sustainable development which wishes to bring the nature into the city through sustainable management of natural areas, urban parks, and the implementation of a differentiated management of green spaces. Former terraced gardens are gradually redeveloped and managed as ecological gardens. You will be involved in this project, especially by working on built heritage. This new international workcamp in Pont du Château will allow you to discover its medieval centre and will be a very good opportunity to have long walks or to go canoeing.
WORK:
You will restore a dry stone wall which supports a terrace. You will occasionally use lime mortar. You will also restore the basin of an ancient fountain.
ACCOMMODATION:
In tents (bring your sleeping mat and your sleeping bag). You will take your meals and showers in the rugby stadium, near the river.

PROJECT: 4th workcamp in Orry La Ville, we carry on working on the church, historical monument whose oldest parts are from the eleventh century. Orry la Ville is a big town in the south of the Oise, which is surrounded by forests, including Chantilly's forest, its famous castle and its horse racing. Not so far from Paris, a big breath of nature is expected and many exchanges with locals are already scheduled!
WORK:
Carrying on the work of the 3 previous years, you will have to prick the outside walls of the nave's church and to make lime mortar joints (traditional masonry). If necessary, there will be a bit of stone cutting and various smaller works. Be Careful, working on scaffolding is planned.

Convinced that sustainable development is a source of collective welfare, that a workcamp is a great tool to promote social cohesion, the city of Chelles will host a group of international volunteers for the sixth consecutive year. This year we will focus our action on a renovation project.
WORK:
With a technical leader, you will rehabilitate the mill's arcades and the hedges of the site in order to improve the local population's surroundings. You will also organise a lot of convivial moments to exchange knowledge and experience with the local population, and raise public awareness of natural and cultural heritage values.

Chelles is a Paris suburban city accessible by local train. The town of Chelles has a privileged location. Less than 20 km away from the heart of Paris, it is nonetheless a green city along the Marne River, the gateway to the countryside.
You must know how to ride a bike as you will have to ride on long distances. Bring working clothes, gloves waterproof boots (to work on the banks of the Marne river) and the most important, a warm sleeping bag and a mat.
PROJECT: Dinard is a seaside city located on the Emerald coast, influenced by the Brittany culture. An international volunteer's work camp will be hosted for the first time in this attractive touristic environment. You will help to create social links with the inhabitants and the youth of the city in order to promote volunteering actions and intercultural relationships.
WORK:
You will participate in the refection of the cemetery wall using traditional brickwork techniques. Repointing, placing a coping and the consolidation of the wall will be the main activities.

Project : The municipalities of Bocage Bourbonnais are working together on the enhancement and vitality of the region by organizing an international workcamp each year. This year the municipalities have decided to repair and update the pathway markers used on some hiking paths of the area. Work: On the chosen paths, you will first make an evaluation of the current pathway marking system. Then you will work on improving this system: you will repair the current components of this system (wood work, painting, landscaping) and install additional pathway markers. Leisure activities: This project will allow you to visit and discover the area and local activities, including Tivoli's Garden, a medieval fair in Souvigny, and various other forms of local historical heritage. Volunteers participating in these workcamps can discover the birthplace of the Bourbon dynasty (the kings of France from the 16th to the 19th century). A van will be available to you as a means of transport between these locations.
