If you are interested in festival production here is the perfect opportunity to get some experience in the field. This particular project will combine various tasks within Reykjavík city with different partners. This will ensure diverse daily tasks and a rich experience for SEEDS volunteers.
The main task of the project is to give support to DesignMarch 2015, which takes place on the weekend of March 12th - 15th. SEEDS volunteers will support the organisers and assist in various tasks related to the artistic events. This is the 6th year in a row that SEEDS supports the DesignMarch!
Possible tasks may include welcome honorary guests to the festival, pick up honorary guests to the festival, help with last minute event preparations and production, help with festival event openings upon need, help set up posters, help deliver brochures and materials, help with general office tasks and personal assistance to festival management.
As volunteers will have to communicate with the project managers, artists and guests, good conversational skills in English are required. Driver's license is also essential because some of the tasks that SEEDS volunteers will be performing will include driving a car.
DesignMarch is a four day feast for designers, artists, and anyone interested in design. The first six DesignMarch programmes in 2009-2014 were splendid with events reflecting a wide range of designs. For more information on the event follow the link, http://www.designmarch.is

« We did a lot of conservation work, building hiking paths, tidying up wooded areas, removing weeds, planting trees, etc. The work was extremely successful and I found it very rewarding. »
