Bhorle village of Chitwan District, about 130 KM southwest of Kathmandu in the centre of Nepal. Bhorle is a popular workcamp destination for international volunteers. We are working there since 1995 and hundreds of volunteers already joined international workcamps in Bhorle. The majour attraction of Bhorle is their Gurung culture, the friendly behaviour of local people to volunteers and their active participation in the cultural exchange day. Moreover, Bhorle is located on the foot of two high mountains and close to Trisuli river, famous for rafting (you can see the rafting boats from the camp house!) Chitwan is one of the main destinations for jungle adventures and wild life in the world. One horned rhinos, Bengal tigers, ghadials (long/short snout) crocodiles, different species of birds and others, are the main attractions of the Chitwan District.

There are varieties of work in Bhorle workcamp...
- Physical work into building more facilities in the camp house, ie. new rooms, painting, gardening, etc. - Educational activities in the local primary school, ie. teaching English, sports, music, etc. - Environmental awareness activities with the local women's group (how to keep their village beautiful by keeping it clean, using toilets, not throwing plastic or paper everywhere). Volunteers are welcome to present their new ideas!
Food and Accommodation:
FFN has a camp house in Bhorle. Food and accommodation will be arranged there. This is a "camp type accommodation", floor only, campers need to bring a sleeping bag and mattress. The camp house can accommodate 15-30 people. A shower (cold water) will be available at the camp house, but not the standard you are used to in your country. Nepalese daily food is Dal Bhat - Dal (soup of lentil or beans), Bhat (cooked rice), Tarkari (cooked vegetables), is provided. This is the staple diet of the Nepalese and it is eaten everyday. The camp leader will try to offer some different food but if you would like to enjoy your native meals please bring food from your own country. Volunteers will help to prepare meals in turns.

A remarkable place of natural beauty, renowned by a valley of lakes and caves as well as stunning panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks. Pokhara is a starting point of Mount Annapurna and Machapuchere trekkings, famous in the world as the ABC trekking. There are several adventure activities going on every day around Pokhara valley, eg. boating, rafting, paragliding, rock climbing, etc.

The main work of this workcamp is to help building more facilities in Asha Orphanage Home. This year we will help to make a compound wall and playground for the orphanage home children. Volunteers will take care of the orphanage children, play with them, teach sports, music, helping them to get ready to school and taking them back from school.

Will be arranged in the orphanage house. The orphanage house has space to accommodate 10-15 volunteers. A shower will be available at the camp house, but not the standard you are used to in your country.
