"La Tinkuna" is a social and cultural centre located in a suburb of the city of Cochabamba. It was created in 2006 and promotes social, educational and cultural exchanges between young people and children. It is an alternative space where various groups used self-managed environments for art and popular culture.
Work:
The volunteers involved in tutoring courses for children and youth, and organized recreational activities and recreational workshops. Volunteers also participate in the maintenance of the centre with other local volunteers.
Accommodation:
Volunteers will be housed in the same social center "La Tinkuna", where accommodation is shared.
Location:
Villa Busch, Cochabamba City, Bolivia.
Requirements:
Have an interest in cultural, educational, craft and social work with the local population. All volunteers must have medical insurance. Upon arrival, volunteers must attend a seminar on the social, cultural and political life of Bolivia.
Participation fee:
80 Euros per month covering accommodation. The food is paid by the volunteer.
