The rural community of Chiquicollo, is located in the municipality of Tiquipaya, considered the heart of Mother Earth, after the Peoples' Summit on Climate Change (2010). It borders the city of Cochabamba and is considered agro-ecological reserve area and tourism. It has a schoolhouse and a school. In the community currently being built Red Tinku ecological cabins. It is an agricultural area where farmers grow vegetables, corn and fruit. It has an irrigation system for agriculture.
Work:
The volunteers mainly support children and young people in school support and organization of workshops, art and culture. May also be involved in the construction of agro-ecological cabins and gardens.
Accommodation:
Volunteers will be accommodated in a house in Cochabamba. The property is collective.
Location:
Chiquicollo, Cochabamba, Bolivia.
Requirements:
Be predisposed to interact with neighbours, children and youth in the community.
All volunteers must have medical insurance.
Upon arrival, volunteers must attend the seminar on the social, cultural and political life of Bolivia.
An international two-week camp will be held in the summer (July)
Participation fee:
80 euros covering accommodation. The food is paid by the volunteer.
