YRS-VSS Serbia

Young Researchers of Serbia-Voluntary Service of Serbia (YRS-VSS) is one of the Partner Organisations of VAP in Serbia.

"Think big - do a little bit - start an avalanche" is the motto of YRS-VSS, a non-profit, non-governmental organization, founded in 1976. It is an umbrella organisation with 27 clubs and societies in University centres and other towns in Serbia whose members take active part in the activities of YRS. The image of our organisation is built on enthusiasm, openness, flexibility, tolerance, and the non-existence of generation gap. We stimulate scientific creativity among young people.

We are members of Alliance and UNESCOs Coordination Committee of International Voluntary Service
(CCIVS) and partners of SCI in Serbia. A part of YRS, which conducts volunteer exchanges, Voluntary Service of Serbia (VSS), was initiated in 1990. Even before we started to organize international workcamps, some of our research and study camps were of international character, i.e., admitted participants, mostly students with similar interests, from Universities or NGOs from abroad.
