Solidarités Jeunesses France

Solidarités Jeunesses is the French partner organisation of VAP.

The international workcamp is a very important part in the action undertaken by Solidarités Jeunesses. It is prepared long time in advance in the different regional offices and the National Secretariat.

The international workcamp is seen as a tool of local and personal development, tolerance and understanding between the different participants. An important part of our workcamps is the inclusion of people coming from disadvantaged backgrounds and it aims also to make the local population participate actively.

International

Solidarités Jeunesses is the French branch of Youth Action for Peace, a movement created after the First World War in order to reconcile people of different nationalities through a better mutual understanding. Solidarit?s Jeunesses works alongside a number of partner organisations world-wide, exchanging volunteers and organising international solidarity projects.

National

Solidarités Jeunesses is a national youth organisation recognised by the French Ministry of Youth and Sports. It organises short and longer-term international youth volunteer workcamps, projects with disadvantaged publics, training sessions, international solidarity projects and manages rural residential and community centres.

Regional

Solidarités Jeunesses is composed of 8 regional delegations : Ile de France, Lorraine, Franche-Comté, Languedoc-Roussillon, PACA, Auvergne, Poitou-Charentes and Midi-Pyrennées.
