DaLaa Thailand

DaLaa Volunteer for social Development is a new partner of VAP in Thailand.

Aims and objectives:
Our main aim is to make a tribute to long lasting social development in Thailand. This means that with all our projects and activities DaLaa wants to help to make a better situation for less privileged people. We realize this is a very big aim, and not always very clear. That is why we created these 3 themes:

Support: With our projects and activities we want to support local people, work together with already existing (local) projects and activities.

Friendship: We will work with Thai volunteers, international volunteers and local people. While working together on the projects we want to develop relationships all over the world and between people from different religious and cultural backgrounds.
To create more mutual understanding and to reduce prejudices. Also by sharing information and different ways of working and doing things, we can learn from each other.

Saving: In our projects and activities we also want to take care of the nature of Thailand, work in an environmental friendly way and preserve Thai culture.

In 2012 VAP has:
7 project(s) with DaLaa Thailand in Thailand
member of:
Volunteer Action for Peace, member of the Co-ordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service Volunteer Action for Peace, member of the Volunteer International Network Exchange UK
with the support of:

Quote of the day

On discovering VAP I found a number of workcamps in Kenya and at far more affordable prices than any 'volunteer abroad' organisations. I chose a 6 week workcamp based at a secondary school in western Kenya... »
