The project will be organized by JEC which has started organizing this kind of project six years ago. Every year we got positive feedback from the participants and from the partners. The participants will get in contact with the Moroccan techniques to work pottery. They will get knowledge about how to do pottery articles from working and preparing the clay to decorating the articles. This activity doesn’t require individual skills but it demands your motivation to overcome all difficulties. JEC will provide you all the materials needed by this activity. One of the aims of these projects is to discover the Moroccan culture and history and compare this to yours. The training course will be in the morning from 9 to 12 am if needed some courses could be given in the afternoons.

Safi is a beautiful town (400.000 residents) situated on the Atlantic Ocean coast. This town is well known for its pottery, its monuments and nice beach. The climate is normally hot in summer however warm clothes are advised to be used in fresh nights. Safi is about 150km away from Marrakech, 250 km from Casablanca and 350 km from Rabat.
Leisure Activities:
JEC will organize and finance one excursion, however you can elaborate other programmes in collaboration with the campleader. As a contribution from your side, you can also take with you a music instrument to animate more and more the group of the camp and create a suitable climate between the participants.
Hosting Fee:
The participation fees (150 Euros) should to be paid on arrival and cover the time and materials provided by the craftsman and food and lodging provided by the hosting families.
