This project will be carried out in the Children's home St. Faustina in the town of Pachacamac - Lima, home to 15 girls between 2 to 13 years of age, abandoned or with family problems.
The project aims to strengthen and promote the comprehensive development of children and adolescents at risk, conducting educational workshops and recreational resources to be able to overcome the consequences of violence of their families.
In this project volunteers will implement their high sense of service, strengthening the shortcomings of values, self esteem, and desire to overcome in girls and teenagers, through games, dynamic educational lectures, strengthening schools, to arouse the interest of the minors.
All the girls need the volunteers' affection, interest and much enthusiasm. Depending on their personal situation, we will have to help them to catch up at school and to learn to play and interact with other children. In sum, to offer a way out of their troubled personal situation.
WORK:
The group of volunteers will conduct various activities, according to their skills, experiences and interests, and the performance of the program activities of the institution, such as for example: - Academic activities, such as the strengthening of some educational materials and teaching computer skills. - Implement and develop various workshops with the girls to their initiative and creativity. - Support in the workshops of couture, weaving, painting and others. - Sports activities. - Recreational activities such as music, dance, crafts. - Help with household cleaning and other activities.
The volunteers are going to work every day from Monday to Friday with a total of 15 girls and adolescent except on weekends when they can do their own activities.
LANGUAGE:
English, but it will be very useful to have basic Spanish knowledge.
Project costs:
195 Euros. This payment made by the volunteers will cover the costs of lodging and food, as well as operational and administrative costs of the project.
The project will develop in the archaeological zone of Chan Chan, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage site and World Heritage in Danger since November 1986. During the project volunteers will perform three specific actions: Conservation, Protection and Educational.
ACTIVITIES
CONSERVATION:
There are two factors that have caused the gradual deterioration of the archaeological zone of Chan Chan, the environment and social environment, so we propose to execute the following actions...
Within the process of conservation work and volunteers will help archaeologists and workers to restore and clean the walls have been destroyed by time, making bricks for the reconstruction of the destroyed walls, respecting the procedure for preparing and carrying ancestral material used for reconstruction.
PROTECTION:
Within these campaigns volunteers will be cleaning and removing garbage dumps, wooded places, and raising awareness of the importance of keeping the historic centre clean.
EDUCATIONAL:
Educational programs will be developed with conservation action, advocacy and protection of heritage. Volunteers will visit schools and teach children and youth, about care and protection of heritage, performing activities of integration between international volunteers and the student population, will visit the archaeological site to educate students at the site on care and maintenance of their heritage. Awareness campaigns will be conducted through Arts, drawing contests, festivals and tours to the archaeological site involving the general public and various stakeholders.
ACCOMMODATION:
Volunteers will stay in a house in the city with basic services. It is important to mention that every volunteer should bring a sleeping bag.

Trujillo, City of Eternal Spring. Located in the northeastern part of Peru, is the capital of La Libertad department at a distance of 580 km from the capital Lima.

With this project we seek to contribute to the development of children and young workers in the street, through an unconventional learning process, followed by street educators, with thw aim that child workers living in the intervention areas, particularly those in conditions of poverty and social marginalization, are able to exercise their rights and especially their right of access to education. The project will be conducted in three urban areas of Huánuco in extreme poverty, where children and young girls are involved in hazardous forms of child labour, exposed to various forms of abuse and denied access to their main rights, such as education. In this project volunteers will carry out their high sense of service, fighting the children's shortcomings of values and self-esteem, and strenthening their desire to overcome difficulties, through games, dynamic educational conferences, school support.

The volunteers will carry out various activities, according to their knowledge, experiences and interests, and perform the program activities of the institution, such as for example:- Academic activities, such as the strengthening of some educational materials. - Implement and develop various workshops with the children to their initiative and creativity. - Teaching English. - Sporting and Recreational activities such as music, dance, crafts.
The volunteers will work from Monday to Friday with a total of 50 children in three areas of the city of Huanuco. On weekends they will have free time.

Volunteers will stay in a house in the city with basic services. It is important to mention that every volunteer should bring a sleeping bag.

HUANUCO is an historical city which is located in the centre of Peru, 1939 metres above sea level. It is a city with all the services of a modern city.

The Project will allow you to develop an approach to rural life in the highlands of Peru. During the development of the project, volunteers will be in frequent contact with the Andean geography and demography, developing communal work with the local people, including children, youth and adults, in typical community tasks.
Huaraz is located in the central-northern part of the country at an altitude of 3052 m, some 420 km north of Lima. Huaraz sits in the agriculturally important Callejón de Huaylas valley, at the foot of the Cordillera Blanca mountain range, which includes Huascarán, the highest mountain in Peru at 6768 m.

Location:
It is located in the district and province of Huaraz, Ancash, access is made through the track Huaraz-Lima, 5 Kl. From the district of Huaraz, the altitude of the town is 3200 m above sea level, recorded in the Callejon de Huaylas.
ACTIVITIES:
- Working in reforestation and improving the facilities of the Educational Institution No. 86012. - Teaching youth and children the languages you speak (English, French among others) as well as learning the native language of Peru: Quechua. - Participating in daily tasks with local families (sowing, harvesting, irrigation, building houses, etc). - Participating in various other activities of the community (communal tasks).
