Nuestra Tierra has different strategies to involve the local community in Environmental Education, and to show them some alternatives actions to protect the environment. One strategy is the recycling paper project. With this project Nuestra Tierra shows people how to protect the nature and to develop their creativity at the same time.
At first volunteers go to learn about the problematic of the trees, then they are going to learn to produce the material for the courses in public spaces, as well as the paper recycled to mount exhibitions. Later they will realize a conversation to children of between 4 and 14 years, on the importance of using adequately the paper. And ultimately the volunteers will organize "The Party of the Tree" and the community will be invited to take part in the production of recycled paper.
Accommodation:
Volunteers will be lodged in a home adapted for them, where they will share rooms with other volunteers. They will take meals there, therefore must cook besides of being included in a schedule to clean the place.
Fee Contribution:
Nuestra Tierra is a non-governmental and a non-profit association. That is why we ask to the volunteers a contribution of 285 USD. This money will be used to run the projects (lodge and meals for volunteers included) and as well as support for the association itself. This needs to be paid upon arrival.
Language:
To make more effective this project, we require that the volunteer is fluent in Spanish.
