The ecological centre "Sara Yaku" is a project of the newly built Red Tinku located in a semi-rural area. It is under implementation and adaptation to bring forward the ecological centre. With this project we want to implement a composting toilet and expand the garden centre.
ACTIVITIES:
• Preparation and planting of an organic gardening. • Construction of an ecological dry toilet. • River cleanup and recycling waste. • Support the Kids School.
LOCATION:
It is located in the town of Vinto, 15 km From the city of Cochabamba. It is a semi-rural area. Volunteers will be accommodated in the same ecological centre "Sara Yaku" in Vinto, with rooms to stay and camping.
The Agro Ecological "Potrero Wasi" Centre is a new project of the Red Tinku beginning in 2011 in the rural community of Potrero Quechua, rural area characterized by the production of vegetables, fruits, flowers and small farming. The current project continues to complete the first eco-lodge and improves organic gardening. The project has great potential for being in an area of smallholder farmers willing to share experiences with the volunteers. Also the second part of the construction with circulate material Inca place (adobe, stone) will be completed. Also build a clay oven and improve the organic garden. Some volunteers in the evenings to give educational support and games to the children of the school community. Volunteers also in their free time can easily reach the forest at the foot of the mountain Machu Tunari and enjoy the nature of the vallunos Andes.
LOCATION:
The centre is located in the rural community of Potrero to 18 km from the city of Cochabamba, at the foot of the mountainous Cordillera del Tunari. It has a beautiful location by the panorama of the valley of Cochabamba.
ACCOMMODATION:
Volunteers will be staying at the headquarters of the Union of Agricultural Potrero and Ecological Centre "Sara Wasi" Vinto, located a few kilometers from the workcamp .
