Red Tinku's communitarian projects are set up in coordination with the communities of Potreros and Mariposas. The main aim is to build two centres, an agro-ecological and and eco-tourism one, that may be finacially sustainable through the hosting of volunteers, backpackers and all those that wish to share and learn with/from the Quechua communities, agricultural knowledge in an intercultural way always respecting "Pachamama" (Mother Earth). Climate change affects us all and it is necessary to act globally with practical deeds.
Work:
In this first part of the project, volunteers will work in the construction of huts and of a latrine to be used by the agro-ecological centre, which will be used to host future volunteers working in these projects. Besides the practical construction work there will be other activities such as the preparation of soil, weeding, small sowing in the crop area, compost making, and visits to the communal lands in order to help with the crop work. There will also be other educational and ludic activities held together with the children and youths from the community and by Tinku Tours in the region.

Location:
The project is located in a temperate area, one and a half hour from the city of Cochabamba.
Volunteers will build two huts for the Agro-ecological Centre "Potrero Wasi", which will be later used to accommodate future volunteers which will come to develop activities in this project.
Volunteers will also develop other tasks such as preparation of the soil, weeding, sowing, making compost and visiting cultivated areas in order to cooperate with the local community peasants.
There will also be cultural, educational and leisure activities with the children and youngsters of the community and the group Tinku Tours Alternativo in the area of Cochabamba.

At the headquarters of Sindicato Agrario Campesino Potreto, Quillacollo and at Centro Cultural Sumaj.
Location:
The project is situated at the foot of the mountain on a mild valley, one hour away from the city of Cochabamba.
