The project will be held on the west of Ukraine, namely its historical region Halychyna - unique territory with fates of different peoples and states intermingled. It would be hard to find a region in Ukraine that could compete with the L viv region when it comes to the number and variety of places of interest: the Carpathian Mountains, world-class balneotherapy spa resorts, dozens of ancient castles, unique cities and towns and, of course, L viv itself - the true heart of the region. In the distant past these territories were the Eastern border of Austro-Hungarian monarchy, as well as a part of Polish Kingdom earlier before. Unique historical and architectural monuments are to be found here: Armenian churches, Jewish synagogues, Orthodox monasteries, Polish castles. Different nations live here and consider it to be their motherland. In the middle of the 19th century Austrian authorities began the Ring Fortress of Przemysl construction. Together with the Antwerp and Verdun ones, it was the third largest fortress in Europe, and at the same time the easternmost. The Przemysl Fortress was never conquered, although dramatic battles were fought here from September 1914. Nowadays the Forts of the Ring Fortress of Przemysl are situated on the Ukrainian-Polish border. The project will be held on the territory of Ukraine, namely the area of Popovychi village with its 6 forts. In the beginning of July 2011 the International Festival Fort.Missia will be held here for the third time. Artists and folk crafts experts will come here from different countries. And for the third time team of international volunteers will take part in this action. Work: volunteers will help with preparation and organization of the festival, as well as with cleaning the territory afterwards. After the Festival volunteers will be cleaning the historical road paved with stones from vegetation and soil. This road connects 6 forts based on the territory of Ukraine.
