Meotida is a regional landscape park on the south of Donetsk region. Azov Sea is a natural rarity of the planet scale. It is the smallest, the shallowest, the most limnetic, the most productive and the most distant from the World Ocean on the Earth. There are about 100 species of fishes in the water area of the Sea. Flora and fauna of the park are very reach, but birds are the most varied. Park s prides are numerous colonial settlements of hydrophilic birds and nesting place on the arrow of Curve Spit is unique in the whole Europe. On a few hectares of shell sand beach, which is washed almost from 4 sides by the Azov Sea, there are nests of thousands of birds. Area of distribution of a bird Great Black-headed Gull , which inhabits the park, is limited with a few places in the Eurasian continent. Meotida is a very quiet place, outside of civilization. Here you can perfectly enjoy sun, beach, sea and friendly atmosphereWork: Group of volunteers will work on the nature preservation: cleaning the shore out of solid discharge; territory patrols (in shifts); sea patrolling; building tables, branches, small bridges, fences and showers. Also participants will help scientific group with monitoring of birds and will get a chance to discover beauty and variety of local flora and fauna. Participants should be ready to cooperate with local workers.
Accomodation & food:
Accommodation: Volunteers will live in the cabins (for 2 people each, no electricity) on the Azov Sea shore in nature reserve. Toilet and shower are outside in a very countryside style. Volunteers should be ready for really simple conditionsFood: Meals will be organized on the campsite and cooked by volunteers on the kitchen-teams basis.

Location: Donetsk region, 12 km from Novoazovsk, by the sea.Terminal: Donetsk train station, Mariupol train station.Nearest Airport: Donetsk.Leisure time: Sunbathing and swimming in the Azov Sea, activities in a group, intercultural learning, barbequing, sport and cultural activities, excursions to the end of spit and watch tower with a view on the sea, disco in the village, excursion to museum of Sedov (polar explorer), everything what we will be able to create for ourselves to make our camp exciting. It is possible to organize a trip to Mariupol with visiting local history museum.What to bring: musical instruments, national games and recipes, info about your country, sportswear, swimming suit, mosquito repellent, pocket flashlight, hat, sunglasses, sun-protection lotion, raincoat, good mood and motivation (sleeping bags are not necessary).
