Work: The project is aimed at promoting active participation in the social life among young people, participation in the development of the local community and at promoting youth leadership in social, economic and political spheres.Work: The core group will consist of 7 international volunteers and 2 campleaders. The age of the participants will vary from 14 to 30. Volunteers should be prepared to present their national volunteering traditions and info on similar projects realized in their countries; to discuss and share information about volunteering issues. During first 3 days volunteers will stay together and will have an introductory seminar. After this introductory phase, the group will travel to a village in the Chernigov/Sumy region where they will live and work with youth from several localYouth Centers and volunteer organizations. During a 10 day period the international group together with local youth will be involved in performing community development tasks, which might include environmental, construction, renovation, social, cultural and archaeological work. This work will be integrated with trainings and activities on teambuilding, leadership, project management and volunteering Plans for post-camp volunteer projects to be done with the support of local peer mentors will be created as an output of this program. After a break and evaluation, the program will be repeated in the central part of the country in Cherkassy oblast. Location: Location: Chernigiv /Sumy regions and Cherkassy regions.Terminal: Kyiv.Nearest airport: Kyiv Boryspil Airport (KBP).Leisure: excursions around Kiev, Chernigov, Sumy and Cherkassy cities, picnics, swimming in river, learning history, culture and life of the local regions.
