Volunteers will remove stones along the path, reconstruct the broken parts, construct steps, mark the routes. Volunteers will have to walk to the workplaces, but a minibus will take them to a nearby point on a road. The working places are isolated but very beautiful, and a paradise for nature and hike lovers. 6 working hours per day excluding the lunch break which will be spent at the site. The work is physical, and requires much walking on steep mountain paths wich is sometimes very vertiginous. Be prepared for cutting vegetation, moving stones and painting waymarks in a variety of weather on narrow mountain paths
Accomodation & food:
In an old village house which is now a pension. Volunteers will sleep in rooms holding 2-4 people. Accommodation place may change as the work moves on. There may be an opportunity to camp out for one or two nights, so if you want to camp, bring a sleeping bag and mat.F: Food will be provided by the pension owner and his wife. Lunches and water will be carried to the work site in your bags.

Yusufeli is a small town near the Kackar trails, in Artvin Province. Artvin is the Northeast border city of Turkey to Georgia.

Ozkent Akbilek Vocational School trains mentaly disabled teenagers in order to prepare them for their future life. Apart from daily lessons there are ateliers like textile, handicarft, woodwork, drama, folk dances, nutrition, spor, drawing, computer. GENCTUR is looking for volunteers who will work together with the pupils who are slightly mentally disabled and have learning difficulties.
Work:
Painting the garden wall and drawing pictures on it together with the disabled teenagers. Some restoration work in the school and its garden might be required.
Accommodation:
In the classrooms of the school. Sleeping bag and mat are necessary. Toilets and showers are shared. Food will be supplied in the school.
Requirements:
Volunteers must be ready and willy to work with mentaly disabled teenagers. Smoking during the work with students and alcohol consuming will not be allowed during the whole camp.

Ankara is the capital city of Turkey and located in central Anatolia. Camp site is a suburb of the city.
Have you ever heard of Mathematics Village? Probably not, because it is a 5 years old village. If you like nature and mathematics this is a tailor made project for you. If you hate mathematics you can still join the camp, as the project is not related with math but is about helping to build a non-formal education center in nature. Mathematics Village is created by a university professor aiming to endear Maths to young people. Around 80 Maths lovers gather in this center during summer holidays, to learn, exercise and study Maths. International and national Maths professors are voluntarily sharing their knowledge with young students during the mathematical activities.
Work:
The center still needs some constructional work and landscaping and volunteers are needed for this task in order to prepare the complex for the coming season.
Accommodation:
In the complex of Maths Village. Sleeping bag and mat are not necessary. F: Food is provided by the staff of the Maths Village. Volunteers help the staff for preparing, cooking the meals and setting up the tables.

Location:
Sirince is a small village in the west of Turkey. Please be aware that the center is a bit isolated. No night life, TV or disco is available at the center. But the next village Sirince, which is only 15 minutes by foot, is very attractive and famous for its homemade wines and traditional architecture. The nearest town Selcuk, which is the home of world famous Ephessus open-air museum. The nearest city Izmir, is one hour away by coach.
Terminal:
Istanbul. The project will start in Istanbul with a compulsory orientation meeting that all volunteers should attend on the first day of the camp. The group will travel together to the camp site by an overnight coach on the same evening.
Pre Camp Days:
GENCTUR also offers an optional 2 days sight seeing tour in Istanbul before this camp. Volunteers may participate in this tour with an extra cost of 45 Euro for 3 nights bed & breakfast accommodation. The program is organized according to the wishes of the participants. Dates: 22.05 – 25.05.2012
W: Preparing the village square for the festival, paving roads, planting flowers, cleaning the roads, weeding, setting up the stage, etc.

Burhaniye is a sea side town in the Northwest of Turkey.
Requirements:
LA: English. Volunteers with special talents who can also perform their skills like acting, making music, joggling, mime, illusion, clowning, long stick walking, during the festival will be preferred.There will be a chance for the volunteers to join in the ateliers of the festival to learn new skills.
Renovation of the village school. There will be some work in the garden as well.

In the guest rooms of the village. Shower and toilet inside. Sleeping bag and mat are necessary. F: Volunteers will prepare their own meals by the given food.

LO: Bagirganli is a small village in Kocaeli province, in the north-west of Turkey.
Eskipazar is a small and green town. The mayor is keen of hosting foreigners in his town.
Work:
Painting the walls of electric transformer stations in order to give them a better looking. If talented volunteers arrive they may draw pictures on the walls as well.
Accommodation:
In a student dormitory. Sleeping bag and mat are necessary. Food will be served in the dormitory.
