This is a camp for nature and adventure lovers. The Lycian Way is one of the most popular and the longest trekking route in Turkey. It consist of footpaths, mule-trails and stone paved paths going over the mountains or along the coasts. Its length in total is 500 km and it takes 4 weeks to walk it from the beginning to the end. Our partner, the Cultural Routes Association wishes to add a new section of six days walking to the Lycian Way. The two parts of this project will form part of the new section. Please be aware that the living conditions are simple and the work is hard.
WORK:
1. There is an old stone and wooden house in the village of Bozalan which will be converted to provide accommodation for trekkers. The Volunteers will work to get it ready for the builders - this includes knocking down old sheds and balconies, removing the plaster from the walls, removing the roof (it's an earth roof), cleaning the old woodwork, emptying and cleaning the cellar, rebuilding walls in the garden, cutting bushes and trees, digging a foseptic tank. Also they will put up an ambar in the garden.
2. Some of the time, the volunteers will explore the area looking for the new route to connect this village with the historic site at Idybessos and the village of Altınyaka. So they will use a GPS to go out and explore the route, then when it is finalised, clear it of bushes and waymark it.
ACCOMMODATION:
Volunteers wll live in a small village, (which is about 550m altitude, surrounded by forested hills, it has streams and waterfalls, orange orchards and animals) in a small house next to the wooden house and/or in tents in the garden. Sleeping bag & mat are necessary. The village only has a dirt road to reach it and there are only a few families. There is electricity and mobile phones work but no internet! The volunteers will have to cook for themselves with the given food.
TERMINAL:
Antalya. Volunteers should fly directly to Antalya Airport. The host will meet them at the airport. Further arrival details will be on the info sheet.
Volunteers will be responsible for the daily cleaning of the site including the area, kitchen, toilet and bathrooms and other buildings and some landscaping work. Part of the the group will clean the beach.
Accomodation & food:
A: In a camping site by the seaside, under tents. Sleeping bag and mat are necessary. If you want privacy you can bring your own tent. Toilets and showers are shared. F: Will be served at the site.
Location & leisure:
Seferihisar is the first slow city (Citta Slow) of Turkey in the West of Turkey. Camp site is by the sea and about 10 km. from the town center. You can swim everyday and also have a chance to try scuba diving at an extra cost.
Requirements:
Extra Fee: 260 Euro to cover the cost of accommodation, food and the administrative costs of the local host. Part of the fee will raise a fund for disabled people to camp at the same place after this camp.
W: Organizing and running daily activities with local and international youngsters to practice English.

A: Basic, in camping tents. Sleeping bag and mat are necessary. Toilets and showers are shared. F: Will be supplied at the site.

Requirements:
Volunteers must be minimum 20 years old and agree to share responsibilities together with the group leader. Practicing English is the main aim of this camp. Thus creative volunteers with some experience on teaching, outdoor or table games, music, drama, sport will be preferred. A motivation letter including the Skype ID should be send along with the application form. Applicants will be interviewed via Skype before being confirmed.

Cardak is a small and calm seaside town in the northwest of Turkey and close to antic site Troy, Assos and Gallipoli battle fields. Nearest city is Canakkale.
Requirements:
Extra fee: 50 Euro per adult and 30 Euro per child for covering administrative costs of running this cost.
The work fields are as follows. 1) Kitchen : Food preperation / cooking / table setting / food serving / dish washing.2) Field: General cleaning of all units / fixing buildings, boats, bikes, instruments / gardening both in main facility and in eco farm / animal care ( mainly horses), farming, harvesting, landscaping.3) Training as artist or assistant or just helper : Art workshops (painting, dance, rhythm, instrument, dj, drama, photography, sculpture, ceramic, hangicraft) / courses ( PC, foreign languages, personal development, sign language) / reading and library management / sport ( swimming, scuba diving, sailing, rowing, canoeing, trekking, outdoor sports, volleyball, badminton, biking, bocce , climbing, archery) / boat skipping / various outdoor trainings / yoga and pilates.4) Organization : Entertainment and event organizations / indoor i outdoor games, driving and transportation / short trips guiding / health care and first aid / free time activities;5) Administration : Office works (web and social media support / designs, graphic designs / administrative assistance / leading volunteers.
Accomodation & food:
A: Under tents. Sleeping bag and mat are necessary. If you prefer privacy you can also bring your own tent. F: Breakfast, dinner and lunch will be prepared and served at the facility. Volunteers may be requested to help in turns for the kitchen works as preparing the food, cooking, setting up tables, washing the dishes, etc.
Location & leisure:
Kas is one of the most popular coasts in southern Turkey and our facility is 11 km away from the Kas town Center. Please be aware that the facility is a bit isolated and there is no night life.
Requirements:
A short motivation letter (if possible in English at least to say in which field you can volunteer) should be sent with the application form.
The volunteers will be doing manual work according to the daily needs. Renovation and gardening works. Some days there might be work on the field like hoeing the soil, picking vegetables, etc. or some work in the kitchen like preparing the food, washing the dishes. Writing activities will be held out of the working hours.
Accomodation & food:
A: In the farm house. Volunteers will sleep on the floor. Sleeping bag and a mat are necessary. F: Will be supplied by the foundation.
Location & leisure:
The foundation is in the outskirt of Catalca town where is 1 hour away from Istanbul. But please be aware that this camp will not offer you the city or night life of Istanbul.
