Miravet was scenario of important battles during the Spanish Civil War. Still there are parts of the town which were never recovered. We take this initial point to make a reflection of the meaning of a Civil War, in particular the Spanish one.

The Fundació Escolta Josep Carol, created by Escoltes Catalans (Catalan Scouts), has as a mission promoting education of children and youth in responsible citizenship and the values of catalan scouts: democracy, secularism, Catalanity, co-education, commitment, critical thinking, honesty, solidarity, participation and appreciation for nature.
Work:
Recuperation of streets and public spaces affected by the war (by cleaning the rubble, removing excessive weed growth, etc.); survey with locals to gather memories from the Ebre Battle and labeling of places recovered in last workcamps. There will be an architect that will guide the work.
Accommodation:
In the youth hostel. All sevices provided. Participants will cook themselves.

Leisure activities:
Activities related to the history and memory of the Spanish Civil War. Visits and excursions to the cultural and heritage points of the region (Miravet, Ebre river, etc.). Games and workshops.
