Work: Reconstruction works in the area of an ancient castle – "Black Castle". It will involve manual works – masonry:such as walling, digging,preparation of cement etc.ENVI works, such as cleaning the area, cutting the grass, sawing of the fallen trees,etc.
Accommodation & Food:
Lodging will be provided in tents, on a meadow. Warm sleeping bag and mat are needed. Field toilet, showers and drinking water will be provided. However it is far from the civilization so there is no electricity and no public transport. All meals will be prepared by the volunteers themselves, field kitchen is available. Vegetarian catering is possible.
Location:
The camp will take place in the middle of the forest close to the village Zlatno, approximately 130 km east from Bratislava. Zlatno was one of many villages in Slovakia that during 1500 century was washing gold. Many believe that the gold was so important that the castle was built, with the name "Black Castle" to protect the gold.

Work: Renovation and reconstruction of an old historical farm building near the ruins of the Sklabina Castle from the 13th century. Main activities will be moving of building materials, gardening works (cutting grass, preparing wood for winter), taking care of livestock (goats) and amateurish archeology.
Accommodation & Food:
Lodging will be provided where the workcamp will take place, in an old building. Sleeping bag and mat are needed. The volunteers will prepare all the meals by themselves from supplies provided. Vegetarian or gluten-free catering is NOT possible.
Location:
The village Sklabina is situated about 230 km north - east from Bratislava, close to the city Martin. It is surrounded by amazing nature (Low Fatra Mountains). The castle Sklabina and the place of the workcamp is around one km far from the village.
Travel:
Airport in Bratislava, then bus or train to Martin, finally to Sklabina by bus.

Work: Revitalizing the old ruins of the Saris Castle in Slovak Carpathians: renovation works, cleaning the area, making wooden fences, taking care of livestock (goats), recording of local fauna and flora.
Accomodation & Food:
The Saris Castle is situated on the top of 300 m high volcanic hill upon the river Torysa, it is part of protected nature reserve. However it is 3 km far from the civilization so there is no electricity, no water-supply and no public transport. Lodging will be provided in one castle tower, sleeping on wooden beds - warm sleeping bag and mat are needed. Common soldier tent, field kitchen, dry toilet, solar showers and drinking water will be provided. Meal will be prepared by the volunteers themselves, it is necessary to bring own plate, cup and cutlery. Vegetarian catering is possible.
Location:
Velky Saris is a little town near Presov located in the Eastern part of Slovakia. From Velky Saris you can get by feet to the ruins of the Saris Castle – the place of the workcamp.
Travel:
Airport – Bratislava, Kosice; then train or bus to Presov or straight to Velky Saris.

Location:
Brekov is a village near Humenne in the Presov Region of north-east Slovakia. The ruins of the Brekov castle (castle from the 13th century), are located on the hill above the village and are in good shape. In the past, the castle one of the Hungary – Poland castle cahin.
Travel:
Airport, bus, train in Bratislava, Kosice; then train or bus to Humenne. Volunteers will be picked up in Humenne and transported by local partner directly to Brekov.
Remarks:
Suitable sleeping bags, working clothes, warn clothes, raincoat, strong boots, bowl, spoon and good spirit :) are needed.

The Kamenica Castle is situated on the west slopes of Cerhov Mountains. I However it is 3 km far from the civilization so there is no electricity, no water-supply and no public transport. The castle is located between Kamenica and Lucka-Potoky. They are villages near Presov (35 km far away) located in the Eastern part of Slovakia. From Kamenica (1,5 km) or Lucka-Potoky (1 km) you can get by feet to the ruins of the Kamenica Castle – the place of the workcamp.

Location:
The old mining and gold city Banska Stiavnica is located about 180 km east of Bratislava. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains and nature. Banska Stiavnica is very interesting city from a historical point of view. The whole city is like a giant hill.
