Barents Ecology Film festival (BEFF) unites those who are interested in learning something new, sharing their opinions and finding creative problem solutions to environmental issues. BEFF demonstrates the ecology tourism development potential of the Northern regions and serves as coverage opportunity to promote and develop ecological event tourism trend. During the festival there would be not only film program (which includes short and full-length films, documentary and feature films), but also a number of workshops such as EcoArt, photography, film-making, eco-clothes design. Volunteers will be in charge of organisation BEFF; help guests and participants of BEFF; work with media.

AYA in co-operation with the marathon of city action “Do it yourself” is organizing the international workcamp where a group of volunteers will participate in various activities with the main aim of promoting city green initiatives and ideas of international cooperations in the development of the city.
During one week volunteers will take part in various initiatives and activities or organize their own events or initiatives with the main aim of a sustainable development of a city life (bicycling, ecological waste management, vegetarianism, power consumption, volunteering and others). By the end of the workcamp there will be created a web map "Friendly Moscow 2.0" with stories, pictures and videos from the events and activities. Everyone is welcome, especially activists who would like to promote improvement of city space, musicians, artists and all creative people.
The camp is organized in cooperation with “Creative Group “TONNA”. It is a regional youth organization which aim is to support and develop creative potential and leadership skills of young people in our city and region. It promotes active citizenship, develops community and involves youth into cultural and social life so that they can contribute into development of civil society in our country.
The «Multimatograf: create the spirit of art» camp is a perfect opportunity to indulge oneself in the intercultural environment and take part in organizing one of the brightest events in the field of multimedia art in Russia.
The festival general idea is a freedom of art and self-realization. The same idea is carried out and in the very working process. Festival organizers are primarily inspired young people, successful specialists of their kind in the region. These are the people who do the festival not for money, but because they love it! The project is organised in cooperation with National park Taganay. The main aim of the project is the organisation of the annual festival of author’s song “Black mountain” on the territory of the National park. Preparation of the site for the festival; repairing works on the ecological path “Taganay in 5000 steps” (cleaning up, preparation of fire sites); cleaning up the territory.
Accommodation:
in wooden houses or in tents (if you want). Volunteers will cook themselves. There is banya (sauna). The station is in Zlatoust town. Second half of the camp volunteers will live in tents in the forest. The food will be cooked on the fire. Banya – Russian sauna.

The project is organised in cooperation with volunteer organisation Club of friends of Bitsevsky park, all-Russian movement “Musora.Bolshe.Net”, project “Recycle and prosper”. The main aim of this project is the promotion of volunteering by the participating in a specific workcamp. The main work activities will be cleaning the Yellow Bay of garbage dumps. The organisers are also planning to engage local community and tourists in the project and set up local organisation which will maintain the clean territory of this area. Overall, there are going to take part 150 volunteers in this project.
First half of the day volunteers will clean the territory from dumps also dividing the garbage while cleaning up. There is also one important part of the workcamp – entertaining, educational and art programme during the second half of the day.

Tent camp. The food will be prepared by volunteers on the campfire.

Volunteers will have the chance to soak into the natural landscape of a rural touristic attraction – village Lomy. A folklore and artistic handicraft festival takes place in the Park once in two years. International artists and musicians, experts and folklore bands come to this festival which lasts during 3 days – each day in a different village of the area. This folklore festival represents authentic stile of singing of various regions in Russia and countries of CIS area. It represents traditional handcrafts of European part of Russia. This festival would be a great present for everyone interested in ethnography and traditional singing style.
Work:
Volunteers will take part in environmental activities such as cleaning up and renovating the territory of the Park before the festival, painting benches and garbage cans, decorating flowerbeds. You will help setting up the tents and the stages for the festival. During the festival - logistic work, cleaning and general maintenance of the Park. After the festival, you will mainly have to tidy up the festival and camping places.
Location:
Environmental Lomy Park is around 270 km away from the city Voronezh (1 million inhabitants), which is the nearest train station to the camp site. The transfer of the volunteers will be provided from Voronezh. A representative of the host organization will also meet volunteers in Moscow and help them to find their way to Voronezh.
A few words on the site, which deserves additional description: the site is a collection of nature complexes and objects, numerous monuments of material and spiritual culture, monumental painting, archeology and ethnology. The history of Lomy reflects the history of Russia. Rich ethnographic material is reserved here. The historic-cultural elements of the Park's cultural landscapes (draw wells, sundial, traditional Russian stove, wind and water mills, pond with Russian sauna nearby, dwelling constructions and household outbuildings etc.) are the objects of high value. It makes it a unique region that has no analogue in Russia.
Accommodation:
You will be staying in bungalows on the lakeside. Showers will be available in the nearby building. Meals will be provided. Volunteers will visit a local canteen for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Leisure:
Excursions and day trips will be organized to Voronezh and Divnogorye - a village on the Don River by the Divnogorye Museum-Preserve, an open air museum full of interesting sites, including the ruins of a chalk fortress and a cave monastery and church, cut from the side of Chalk cliffs and surrounded by natural chalk pillars.
