Main objective of the camp - the ecological improvement of the Siberian river Izdrevaya and organizing events to save it. Volunteer tasks: - cleaning the river banks of debris, - rafting on the river and cleaning it (work in water in special costumes and rubber boots) - installation of informational boards about the importance of preserving the river, - carrying out environmental actions, - organization of ecological events and festival for local people.
Accomodation & food:
Accommodation: The volunteers will live in tents for 2-3 persons. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be cooked by cooks in the specially organized field kitchen. The camp will be provided by toilets and showers.
Volunteers work from 9 till 15.30 with a break for lunch. They do environmental work – collect branches, work in gardens and greenhouses.
Accomodation & food:
Volunteers will stay in a hotel, 15 minutes walk from the museum. There are showers, bathrooms, beds and tables in each room. Three meals will be provided for the volunteers.
Location & leisure:
On the territory of the estate there are unique historical buildings surrounded by forests, gardens and picturesque landscapes. Walking in this place transports visitors into the world of Russian noble estate of the XIX century.Museum organizes a cultural program – excursion to the museum of Leo Tolstoy, a biking tour around the estate, tour to the exhibition of folk art, master-classes in ceramics and floral design, etc. There is a hall in the hotel where volunteers will meet up in the evenings to relax and have fun. There are more areas outside where they can also spend free time or visit cities around during free days.
The project aims at assisting in preservation of the World Heritage site by doing physical work and organizing educational activities. Volunteers themselves will learn about the history and uniqueness of the Solovetsky Islands Ensemble and help enrich biodiversity of the Islands' ecosystem. They will raise awareness on heritage issues as well as promote World Heritage Volunteers initiative among locals and visitors. During the project volunteers will work at the Botanical Garden founded by the monks in 1822, namely plant, weed, and fertilize trees, herbs and flowers of cultural and historical significance. They will also plant seeds (seedlings) that they are to bring from home to contribute to the variety of the plants on the Islands (more on that will be provided in the information list). Moreover, international volunteers will participate in workshops and presentations of the World Heritage Volunteers campaign and discuss with locals, tourists and Russian volunteers the importance of heritage preservation.

Volunteers will live in tents in a well-equipped camping of the garden. Food will be provided; volunteers will cook by themselves as a group.
Location & leisure:
The Solovetsky archipelago comprises of six islands in the western part of the White Sea less then 100 miles south of the Arctic Circle. They have been inhabited since the 5th century B.C. and important traces of human presence from as far back as the 5th millennium B.C. can be found there. Since 15th century Solovetsky Archipelago with its monastery was a religious citadel of the Russian North, there are several churches dating back to 16th-19th century.
Requirements:
Volunteers are going to live on the campsite of the Botanical Garden. There you'll need some regular clothes for work and rest. But as soon as we decide to have an excursion and visit some monastery or church you will have to follow the rules of the place. Girls should wear long skirts, which should cover their knees. Their heads should be also covered by headscarf or something like this, also your arms should be covered with long sleeves. Boys shouldn't wear T-shirts and shorts in the monastery, their legs and arms should be covered. They don't have to cover their head while visiting church.
Volunteers will mainly take care of the old touristic paths of the Natural Park and making new ones. The work includes: cutting woods, marking touristic path, making descriptions of touristic routs, flatten the ground for the paths, etc.
Accomodation & food:
Depending on the work volunteers will be accommodated either in the guest house of the Natural Park or in tents. 2 hikes of different duration are expected (4-days and 3-days). During the hikes, volunteers will cook in field conditions. The guest house is equipped with a kitchen and a bathroom. There is no internet connection in the camp.
Location & leisure:
The camp is situated in village Esso. Volunteers will have a guided tour around the Park. During free time, there is a possibility to visit an ethnical settlement and nomads camp. Before or after the camp, volunteers can easily visit the Khalaktyrskiy (near Elizovo) beach which is famous for its black volcanic sand and many other natural sites of the peninsula.
Requirements:
Participants should be motivated to manual work in field conditions. Volunteers should not be afraid of bears and it s obligatory to have a medical insurance.Sleeping bags, tourist mats, flashlights, warm waterproof clothes and shoes, personal medicine are required.

As volunteers will follow a route along the river, they are going to stay in tents and special wooden shelters (shelters have saunas with a possibility to wash and to wash clothes) Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be cooked in the specially organized field kitchen.
Location & leisure:
Starting point - Town of Vuktyl. (Komi region) Finishing point – Podcherye settlement Transfer to the camp from Syktyvkar to Vyktyl will be organised by the host organization. It the end of the camp, volunteers will be taken to a guided tour to ethnical village and Syktyvkar.
Requirements:
Hiking rug, sleeping bag, hiking warm clothes, waterproof shoes, raincoat, personal hygiene means + medical insurance is necessary. (Special healthcare products – if needed)
Volunteers will work mainly with kids in the field of non-formal ecological education. The main task of the camp i organizing a performance with kids that will be shown in the end of the camp in the local community center. Another essential part of the camp is organizing ecological workshops (theory or practice) for kids. Volunteers will be also involved into apple harvesting, manual ecological work in the village and cleaning the lakeside from garbage.
Accomodation & food:
Volunteers will be accommodated in a comfortable guest house of the Reserve. Washing machine and bathrooms are available in the same building. Volunteers will be responsible for planning their own budget and cooking. There is an equipped kitchen with a stove, fridge and water. The internet is also available.
Location & leisure:
Tsevlo village. It is a really small village, situated 200 km away from Pskov and 300 km (which is not far for Russia :) ) from Novgorod the Great. Both Pskov and Novgorod are ancient Russian cities that are definitely worth visiting.Volunteers will be picked up at the stations Velikiye Luki or Sushchevo . (to get there, they should take a train from Moscow or St.Petersburg)During free time volunteers will be taken to a guided tour around the Reserve and a unique journey along the abandoned narrow-gauge railway in a railway trolley. There is also a possibility to play sport games, enjoy the time at the fire place and watch ecological movies.
Requirements:
Participants should be motivated to work with children and be able to entertain them. They also should be interested in theater. Creativity and any artistic skills will be very welcome.
International volunteers will cooperate with students involved in environmental voluntary work in order to exchange with the best practices, develop solidarity and mutual understanding between young people from different countries. Volunteers will work outside of the city in the University educational sport Center for students "Yagodnoe" (100 km from St. Petersburg). Volunteers will be asked to implement following tasks: -to collect and separate garbage in the touristic area near the Center, - to clean campfires in touristic places, -organizing non-formal education ecological activities for tourists, -paving and landscaping of hiking paths, -renovating work in the Center.
Accomodation & food:
Volunteers will live in wooden houses in the rooms for 2-4 persons. Showers and toilets will be provided in the separated houses. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners will be provided by canteen.
Location & leisure:
Settlement Yagodnoe, 100 km from St. Petersburg. Leisure time: playing games, sport activities, excursions to St. Petersburg, visiting world-wide famous historical sites and museums.
Volunteers will be in charge of cleaning up the areas on the Reyneke island from garbage, and loading bags to the ferry for recycling in Vladivostok. As well as inviting locals and tourists for common actions and spreading information about recycling.
Accomodation & food:
Volunteers will stay in tents on the island by the sea. Built up showers and toilets. Food will be organised but volunteers will help tat the camp kitchen.
Location & leisure:
Vladivostok city. Reyneke island. Hiking around the island. Swimming, enjoying the beauty of the Far East of Russia.
Requirements:
Bring your sleeping bag and a tent if possible. If you don t have a tent, we will organise it.
