Work: The group task is to help with cleaning of town s beaches. Attracting attention of people to ecological problem by making different shares and small representations on the beaches. We also will go to the reserve for helping with current work by restoration of the one. The group will spend there about 2-3 days. The administration will arrange excursion in reserved places. The work usually takes 4-5 hours a day.
Accomodation & food:
Accommodation: The group will be accommodated in student hostel, which is 30 minutes walk from the line of beaches (or 2-3 stops by bus). There re 2-3 people in a room. There is 1 shower with warm and cold water. The group will eat in a university dining room 2-3 times a day. There s a kitchen in the hostel where it ll be possible to cook.

Location: Tolyatti is a city in the midland of Russia with wonderful nature, situated on the left bank of the Volga - the longest river in Europe. Its population is about 1 million people. There are many forest-parks in the town and suburbs and many town s beaches.A beautiful reserve with unforgettable lakes, high trees and fresh air is situated on distance of 30 km from a town. In Tolyatti there re many theatres, cafes, cinemas, museums and other places of interest.Transportation: The nearest terminal is in Moscow. From Moscow you can come to Tolyatti by direct train (time spent traveling 18 hour ) or to Samara (time spent traveling 14-16 hour) and than by train or bus to Tolyatti.Free time activities: Sight-seeing tours around Tolyatti s famous places, such as the Victory Park, the unique Man s monastery; walk by the small ship along the river, visit to other town s museums. It is very likely the festival of electronic music will be organized in the city during these weeks.
Work: Normally there are 5-20 Russian volunteers in the camp but their number changes all the time. There are not any fixed groups. Camp commander puts together teams depending on the task and general situation.There is large variety of tasks:61485;Detecting and putting out fires on National Park land;61485;Monitoring the land from motor and sailing boats.61485;Monitoring the land through binoculars from various islands.61485;Looking after islands (clearing away rubbish; setting up anti-fires sings)61485;Running the camp (housekeeping tasks; help with meals preparation)Working hours: 3-8 hours/day, however it can vary depending on current tasks and number of people. It is important to keep in mind that the main goal of this camp is to detect and extinguish forest fires - it is priority task and rest of work, day routines and discipline are built around it.

There are meat and other non-vegetarian products in the camp that may be added to food individually. Attention: alcohol in the camp is strictly forbidden.

Location: Ladoga is one of the biggest fresh water lake in Europe. It is situated in the Republic of Karelia in the north-west of Russia. The islands of the lake have unique vegetation. It is home for many rare species animals and birds. The Ladoga s skerries suffer from forest fires in summer time. It is great problem, because it takes several hundred years for a burnt island to recover fully from fire.We welcome to join us anyone who would like to make a difference in the situation with forest fires on Ladoga and at the same time have a holiday in one of the most beautiful places in the Republic of Karelia. The camp is based on the island Pieni-Hepposaari. It is organized by the Voluntary Forest Firefighters Society which yearly sets up a camp on the shore of lake Ladoga and takes care of the islands and forest around.Transportation The nearest terminal is in Saint-Petersburg, from Saint-Petersburg by train to the boat station, than by boat to the camp.Free time activities: You may enjoy swimming in Ladoga - the water is very clean but cold. In the evenings all team gather for chatting, playing guitar, games or just lying on the shore of the biggest lake in Europe gazing at the stars. Many people come to the camp for short periods so there are always new people to meet. Participants may go to the smaller camp in the other island for watching seals, rare birds and fishing. Normally participants go to a town only to get more food or petrol, but sometimes it is possible to arrange a trip to Karela i 11th century fortress based near the town of Priozersk.The trainings and lectures in sailing, driving motor boats, putting out fires, orienteering, first aid and tying knots will be organized during the camp time.Important: In the hot time there might be a lot of fires and most of the participants may not be on for evening recreational activities in the camp.
Work: The Ryazan region is one of the Russia regions which suffered the most for the fires of 2010. Now it is necessary to clear away places of big fires, to prevent accident repetition. In nature it takes the forest from 20 till 70 years to rehabilitation The project aim is to accelerate these processes.Project tasks:-to clear away places of fires ( hard physical work)-to care of young plants-construction of fire-prevention tracks-monitoring and prevention of occurrence of fires.We plan to work in 2-3 places of Ryazan region s forests with volunteer from all over Russia.

Accomodation: Volunteers will live in tents and cook by ourselves on the fire. There are little shops near camp-places Supermarkets and pharmacies are in Ryazan. The Internet points and post-offices are also only in Ryazan Laundry and washing may be done in the lake. Sometimes it will be possible to use tourist shower or the shower in the school. Please bring working clothes, sleeping bag and tourist carpet, spoon, plate, knife, mosquito repellents, swimming suit, extra socks and underwear from wool and cotton, raincoat, closed ankle boots or trainers, wool sweater, scarf or sun hat, light, - cards with sights of your Counties et Cities, your favorite musical instruments (not big) ets.

Location:Ryazan is situated in the center of the European part of Russia, is often referred to as the symbol of Russian province. Ryazan is an old picturesque town with many churches, museums and theatres. It was founded over 900 years ago. The Kremlin is the most ancient place of interest in Ryazan. Ryazan is a birthplace of a famous Russian poet Sergey Esenin. Some of the Nobel Prize laureates were born here too, such as academician Pavlov or Soljenitsyn one of the most famous Russian writers. The population is over half a million people. There are several national parks and reserves around Ryazan region. The National park Mescherskiy is famous for the beautiful lakes and rivers (some of them are with peat water ), coniferous forests, animals from the Red Book. Transportation: 3-5 hours from Moscow by train or bus.Free time activities: Sightseeing, international cultural events, friendly evenings with local people in very beautiful nature places, visiting Oksky Biospheric Reserve is the home of European bisons.
