This association has been organizing throughout the years a series of activities, namely: Youth Exchanges; National and International Work Camps; Holiday Centers and Camps; Sporting Holidays; Holidays in Movement; among other permanent activities, such as: Group of Dances and Folklore, Sport Schools, etc.
Info about the Camp:
Provide the volunteers from different countries, regions, cultures a vacational experience in a group through social perspectives - cultural and recreational - to promote the knowledge of new cultures. The camp theme is related with Pechão Traditional Festival. There are different activities: cleaning, painting and signaling of the surrounding area as well as building “small bridges” near the sport zone cleaning and painting. These activities will certainly give to young people a new contact with a different culture inserting them in an intercultural learning mind. During the camp volunteers will work no more than 4/h day.
In their spare time, volunteers will visit the region. In the afternoon there will be several activities to make volunteers be aware of the region where they will be inserted, such as: Pechão Parish, neighboring villages (Olhão and Faro), its population and habits, the Formosa Estuary and its beaches as well as other regions in Algarve. We will visit the most attracting places of the parish as well as Olhão and Faro historical parts, Vilamoura Marina, the windward side of Algarve (Lagos/Sagres) and the leeward (Vila Real de Santo António) among others. Visit to FATACIL – Lagoa, Medieval Days of Castro Marim, visit to an aquatic park, visits to leisure places (Albufeira, Lagos, Faro e Tavira). In Pechão sport zone we will perform several games, such as football, basketball, handball, volleyball, tennis and others, whenever time permits and participants feel like.
Accommodation:
Volunteers will be accommodated in male and female dormitories with cabins especially placed in Pechão Sport Zone multivalent rooms.
Food:
Some meals will be prepared at Brejo’s Social Centre and in the camp and others will take place in restaurants. Some meals will be prepared with volunteers participation, namely in the Centre and in the camp. Menu will be composed of regional food but always considering participants’ nourishing needs and habits, The volunteers will have 3 daily meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) plus snacks (morning and afternoon).
Os Quatro Cantos do Cisne is a Non-Governmental Organization located in the country side of Portugal. Its programmes and activities take place through the whole year and are focused on Youth and Children and the local community in general. The emphasis of their methods and philosophy are on the non-formal education principles.

- Developing leisure activities and animation workshops. – Preparing and performing animation during the Rural Festival 2010. – Performing an intercultural night open for the local community (presenting your country).
Four Corners of the World is a GREEN CAMP, meaning that the emissions of CO2 will be limited.
Leisure activities:
During this period different visits of cultural places will take place in Santarem´s region, such as a visit to the Environmental Park and Sciences Live Centre (Astronomy); visit to the largest farm in Portugal which is growing watercress in an organic way; visits to the cultural heritage sites in the region (castle and special natural reserves); a workshop of Portuguese Folk dances; sports with the local community; traditional games (by all participants); workshop on regional handicraft; contact with the rural tradition and visits to some of the local organizations (cultural, sports, etc); participation in the Annual Festival in Pereira.
Accommodation/Food:
Accommodation will be in a building with all facilities (shower, bathroom). The participants will be in multiple rooms divided by genders. During the Annual Festival we have the opportunity to camp on the enclosure of the festival. Four meals will be provided (breakfast, lunch, afternoon coffee break and dinner).
Location:
Constância is located in Santarém's district, 120 km from Lisbon. Nearby you can visit some historical places Entroncamento (15km), Torres Novas (20km) and Abrantes (15km). The weather here is extreme, which means that in the summer it´s really hot (it can reach 40ºC).
