This project is set in the beautiful village of Bakkeveen,situated in the north and right at the border of where theprovinces Friesland, Groningen and Drenthe cometogether. An untained part of Fries land, known for itswoods, heathland and dunes. A great place to take longwalks, ride a bike and enjoy the scenery. Theparticipants will do different work.
Accomodation & food:
Tents will be provided, please bring your own sleeping mattress and towels.
Location & leisure:
During this projectthere will also be room for recreational and culturalactivities with the inhabitants of the village.
Drentsche Aa offers a various landscape of woods, heathlandand meadows together with old villages. It is a perfectarea to walk through so you can see the various landscapes.There is also a lot of water in the north of Drenthe.This part is called the stroomdallenlandschap whichyou can reach by bike approximately 30 minutes fromAssen and Groningen. The participants will do differentactivities like; cutting, dredging, pilling up the pathsand haymaking.
Accomodation & food:
Volunteers are expected to bring their own tents andsleeping materials. Minimal sanitary facilities: primitive.
A small village in Friesland, known for its culturalhistoricand blooming blue-grass landscapes andswamp forests. The participants will play an importantrole in the preservation of the flora and fauna of thearea. Together with the state forest rangers participantswill do different activities such as cutting, dredging andpilling up the paths.
Accomodation & food:
In-house sleeping places with beds will be provided for.
