The project aims to provide a temporary home to vulnerable children to those leaving large-scale residential units to family reunification or to be placed with Foster Carers. The placement lasts until the children's reintegration with their biological or extended families. If this is not possible an alternative placement is identified. The main objective is to offer a temporary home to children who are to be reintegrated into their birth family or to be placed in a foster care family;
Main Aims and Activities:

- board and lodging for children; - medical and psychological assistance for children; - psychological assistance for parents; - organization of the workshops on child protection; - individual counselling; - crisis intervention.
Volunteer Tasks & Role:
Volunteers’ main tasks are to play with the children, using his/her creativity, assisting the children with their daily needs and responsibilities, read stories and songs in easy language, help to organize outings and to lead excursions with children groups, participate in painting and crafts workshops, participate in theatre and music groups. Volunteers are expected to work 4-6 hours/day.
Desired Volunteer’s Skills:
The main criterion is patience, according to small children and their needs, open heart, kindness and desire to work with children.

Casa Aschiuta aims to provide at risk children, children victims of abuse, violence or trafficking and their families with social assistance, psychological support, reintegration and specialized services.

Volunteer Tasks & Role:
Volunteers support the project personnel in organizing of the leisure time for a group of children, assisting in preparation, organizing and participating in centre’s entertainment and educational projects, assisting children in doing their homework, playing independently, animation of intercultural activities for children through games, songs, discussions, arranging children's out-goings, running educational activities and teaching different skills.
Volunteers are expected to work 4-6 hours/day.

“Casa Gavroche” (Home of Gavroche) is a shelter for children living on the streets and other categories of children at risk from Chisinau.
Main Aims and Activities:
The Centre is an open and friendly institution that will offer temporary shelter, food, care, schooling and learning activities to children at risk.
Volunteer Tasks & Role:
Volunteers are involved in coaching of the youngsters in the tasks of daily life (cooking, cleaning, hygiene, organization of the meals, shopping), coaching during the spare time (group weekends, evening programme, sports) and supporting youngsters during learning hours. Volunteers will learn to become problem solvers, whether it is basic hairdressing, distributing donated clothing, helping kids with hygiene and table manners. Volunteers are expected to work 4-6 hours/day.
Desired Volunteer’s Skills:
A willingness and ability to work with children is essential. An openness live in a larger community as well as to share daily life with children with a very traumatic background is also important.

Animation Centre for Youth and Children (ACYC) aims to offer everyone (children, young people and adults) in the 7 Communes of Chisinau (capital of Moldova) and the opportunity to raise awareness of their own competencies and achieve personal development in the friendly centres with social, cultural, sporting and educational activities. The Centres are an innovative and reactive intervention resource for young people in every commune of Chisinau.
Main Aims and Activities:
These principal objectives are achieved through the work of volunteers with a strong commitment to the association's aims and through co-ordinators working in the different activity sectors...
- Children:
with an activity centre and out-of-school club open all year.
- Young people:
with two facilities for young people and pre-teenage clubs.
- Parents:
informative workshop on the methods of the children’s education. - Leisure for all with different activities (dance, drama, fun gymnastics, etc.) offered to the whole population based on demand and needs. Other associations use the premises to offer activities (karate, fitness sessions, etc.).
Volunteer Tasks & Role:
The volunteer will work in the Centre as a person who co-organises the ideas which the young people and instructors realize during the workshops. The Volunteer will initially be the instructors' assistant, but gradually her/his contribution to the content of the workshops will grow. Volunteers are expected to work 4-6 hours/day, starting at 12pm.
