Volunteers will help in the following areas: kitchen, meal service (tables and dishes), cleaning, maintenance, bar tending, babysitting. Games, discussions and trips can be organized during the free time. During this project, Agape will organize a Lesbian Camp, for this reason we chose to organize a female-only volunteer period. This is one of the four camps that Agape organizes focusing on gender issues. You're not ask to participate into the organization of the camps: there's a specific group of people, called staff, that has been working on it all year long. But your work in kitchen or cleaning or maintenance or bar or servizio will be very important for those camps in order to work out!the working hours, they might vary according to the type of work you are involved in. Yet, an average of 6 to 7 hours a day is required, six days a week.
Accomodation & food:
You will be accommodated in 3-4 bed bedrooms. The toilets are in common on the floor. You are going to help preparing the meals, which will be typical Italian Mediterranean's ones, but there is a vegetarian/vegan/pork free alternative for those who indicated it, as well as for any specific allergies. It is possible to use the washing machine for your clothes.

The AGAPE workcamp take place in Prali, a small commune of Turino (in the region of Piemonte), in the Valdesi valley. It is the principal reference place of Protestantism in Italy. Around Pirali, there are a lot of small lakes (about 10) as the Lake Uomo and the Lake Drajo.

This project is open only for females.We require that all volunteers contact Agape secretariat before arriving. The access is quite complicated that is why we have to explain to everyone how to arrive.
General work for cleaning the area of the former kennel: renovation of the roof, paving, cleansing walls and insulation, cleaning of the ground, levelling of the soil, displacement and cleaning of bricks.
Accomodation & food:
The accommodation, breakfast and dinner will be at the Canonica of Settepolesini (FE). Volunteers will self-manage for the preparation of meals. Lunch will be consumed at the hosting community of Salvatonica. The two structures are about 2 km from each other. Salvatonica is located at a distance of about 15 km from Ferrara. Transport is guaranteed by minibus. There will be beds and mattresses. You need to bring your own sheets or sleeping bag.
The work camp will support the activities of AGAPE when a number of guests havemeetings on issues of political, social, cultural and religious interest. Volunteers will help in thefollowing areas: kitchen, meal service (tables and dishes), cleaning, maintenance, bar tending,babysitting. Games, discussions and outings can be organized during free time. Programmedactivities (especially in the evening) are most of the time open to volunteers, as long as they do notclash with work commitments. The place is beautiful but really isolated, though you will staytogether with many international participants attending the meetings of AGAPE.

The volunteers will work on the realization of decor products made of recycled materials, specifically they will make a polyfunctional wall. This task will include all the phases : the planning, the finding of material and the final phase of realization that will be supported by some professional technicians members of the staff with the help of proper furniture. The working time will be from Monday to Friday (9:00 – 16:00 with a lunch break), after that the whole team will be involved in other activities to promote inclusion, socialization and free time values.Volunteers will work in two center, the main working place will be in the headquarter of Monterotondo and for 4 days volunteers will work in the center of Fonte Nuova.

The volunteers will be host directly in the center on a separted rooms for male and female with an accesss to the shower and the bathrooms. During the working day the breakfast and the lunch will be provide by the cantine in the center while the dinner will be prepared by volunteers and member of the center, it will be an opportunity to share a good moment together. During the project volunteers will have the opportunities to shere moment the different place of the cooperative. Vegetarians and vegans products or/and any food allergy/intolerance will be treated properly.

The project will be held principaly in the center of Monterotondo. There is a train station that allow people to reach Rome city centre (30 minutes) and the Fiumicino airport (one hour). Local transport also allow volunteers to move from Monterotondo ( CSERDI's headquarter and accommodation place) to Fonte Nuova (an other center where volunteer are going to work for 4 days). In Monterotondo there are cinemas, libraries, museums and pubs for young people and cultural Associations with a special regard for local and traditional issues and with a special attention to maintain and create a deep net of relationships in the community, making the area very attractive.
Requirements:
Extra fee: 20€ The local host ask for a little contribution to the volunteers in order to finance the local transport to move from Monterotondo to Fonte Nuova
Volunteers will work with children (from 6 to 13 years old) in the summer camp of the village. For an amazing experience of exchange, they could talk about their countries and also teach to the children typical songs or dances. There will be also some manual and maintenance work to be done on the playground or the church. Every week the volunteers will go in two retirement homes to present their countries. The volunteers will meat an association that run a project of taking care of refugees people, in this way they can really see how that emergency is managed in Italy. Some Carignano s families will host the volunteers for a dinner in the house to share culture and way of life.

In a building with beds, communal bathrooms with showers and hot water and a kitchen. Bedrooms are provided with 4 to 6 beds per room. The volunteers are responsible for the cleaning and cooking. The organisation covers the cost of the meals and also the materials for the work. Volunteers must be equipped with a sleeping bag (or sheets), pillowcase and towels.

The town of Carignano (8700 inhabitants) is situated on the left bank of the river Po approximately 20 Km from Torino and within the Regional Parco Fluviale (park of the river). Its centre is of typical piemontese style, characterized by an ancient core with medieval archways and a baroque cathedral. The towns surroundings offer sites of architectural and naturalistic interest, it is also possible to reach Torino easily, as there are frequent coaches to the city. During the free time there are many exciting things to do such as visit the open market of Carignano and take part in some local events. On the weekends it will be possible for the group to organise a visit to Turin (there is a bus to and from Turin), visiting the Egyptian museum, the cinema museum, MAO museum of oriental art, the Holy Shroud etc. The costs of the FREE TIMES activities are not covered by the project.

YAP project-related motivation form is required. AFTER the acceptance, you are required to provide an extract of your criminal record (Certificate of Good Conduct).

Work:
The volunteers will support the local group in managing the festival: preparation, restaurant, pub, cleaning of the area and other activities will be shared with the local volunteers. The work could be physically hard, but the environment is funny and easy going.

The project take place in the CSOA of Forte Prenestino situated in the popular disctrict "Centocelle" in Rome.Volunteers will have the opportunity to enjoy the differents activities of the festival, meet artists from all over the world. Do not expect to do a lot of activities in the center of Rome. Most of the actvities will be involve in Forte Prenestino Social Center.
Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: To be open minded and ready to live in an alternative community. Expect a basic accommodation (the dormitory is comfortable, the bathroom and shower are very basic) This project request a motivation letter and to sign an agreement to confirm the understanding of the project.

Volunteers will be involved in the daily activities of the community which include taking care of the internal public spaces and outdoor space, the seasonal work in the garden, the harvesting and taking care of medical herbs and its transformation. Study Part: Every activity will be introduced by a member of Porto di Terra as well as the principles and ethics behind the work.
Accomodation & food:
This accommodation is camp like in tents outdoor. The group will share several tents and sleep on inflatable mats inside the tents. A coordinator will stay with the group. The accommodation is beautiful but basic. There is no electricity in the tepee or camping area. Volunteers are asked to bring torches. Volunteers will use common bathrooms and showers with hot water that are located inside the house. There is internet connection and electricity. Volunteers will cook together with a member of Porto di Terra following shifts and will be involved in domestic chores. Volunteers can use the kitchen.

Day-excursion to the seaside and hiking into the mountains will be organised during the free time.

ATTENTION No chemical soap are allowed, volunteers can bring ONLY organic soap or buy there for a cheap price. Volunteers are asked to pay an extra fee of 200 euros by bank transfer earlier in advance. In addition, volunteers will cover the costs of public transport from Palermo airport to Polizzi Generosa (and back) in total this cost around euro31. Arrival to/departure from Palermo Airport is recommend.
