PROJECT: "CruscoJazz" was born in 2015 thanks to a group of young creative people who wanted to melt together traditions, arts, good music, typical food and the beauty of their town and Basilicata region. The first two editions of the festival were so successful that they decided to propose it again and improve it. Musicians and artists will arrive from all over Italy. They will play at every corner of the town, important art exhibitions will take place in the old houses of the ancient village and in the castle, typical food will be cooked and served in the streets, creating a sort of route which will guide visitors to the main concert, which will take place every night in the castle. The main aim of our project is to create a friendly and warm environment, open to diversity and new proposals. By breaking down borders and prejudices among generations, cultures and nationalities through arts and music, we would love to welcome in Brienza people from all over the world inclined, as we are, to broaden their horizons. The first workcamp at Crusco Jazz in 2016 was a real success.

« I can say that the best things about the workcamp and this whole experience were the chance of making a real difference to the lives of very needy children. This is an extremely valuable project where volunteers can have a massive impact. Also the possibility of learning a huge amount about a country so different from our own. I learnt ten times as much by carrying out a workcamp than I would ever do backpacking. »
