Villa Buri is a Venetian Villa built at the beginning of the 1600's. It is situated at about 5 kilometres east from the centre of Verona and it is the head office of civil and religious associations. The big park (4 hectares) surrounding the Villa presents an interesting diversity of flora and fauna. The park is attended by an average of 30.000 visitors per year. The association "Amici di Villa Bosco Buri" is in charge of the maintenance and of the valorisation of the Villa's park since 2005 and since 2006 of the "public" park Bosco Buri. Volunteers will work more or less 30 hours per week. They will often work together with Italian volunteers and they will be in contact with local people.Villa Buri's international volunteering program is reserved to girls only.
Work:
Volunteers will be involved in several activities depending on the season: - Spring → mowing grass, seeding in the botanic garden, planting, transplanting flowers and aromatic essences, watering; - Summer → mowing grass, watering trees and flowers, taking care of the botanic and organic vegetables' gardens; - Autumn-Winter → pruning, clearing the brushwood, weeding and collecting leaves.

Accommodation:
Volunteers will be hosted in a little house at the entrance of the Villa Buri's Park (1 bed room, 1 bath room, 1 living room/kitchen).

the regional branch of Legambiente cooperates with ARCI Solidarieta' (a national partner of Legambiente) for the promotion of volunteering activities in the territory of Rovigo. The associations aim to promote an experience of aid to the lesser fortunate combined with environmental activities and knowledge of the activities of the association. The "Rainbow" night hostel is a hosting structure for homeless people managed by ARCI. Hosts can stay a maximum of one month in the structure, time during which they are enhanced to integrate in society and become independent from the structure.
Work:
volunteers will work from 9pm till 8am. From 9pm till 10pm volunteers will aid local volunteers in receiving the hosts for the night. From 7am they will help waking up the hosts, preparing breakfast and cleaning the structure. At 8am hosts leave and volunteers have the rest of the day free. Volunteers will have one night off per week.

volunteers will be hosted in the Rainbow structure in a single room with a private bathroom. The kitchen will be shared (although it is not used during the day).

The "Wind Rose" is a hosting structure for families in difficulties. There are two separate buildings where families manage themselves. There are maximum 17 hosts in these structures.
Work:
The volunteer's task will be to be present in the day to day activities with the hosts, taking care of the children (if present), organizing free time activities, accompanying them out when it is necessary, preparing meals together with the hosts, etc.

Volunteers will be hosted in the Wind Rose structure in a double room, the bathroom will be shared with one family. The kitchen will be shared with all the hosts.

The "Lady Bug" is a residential hosting structure for single women and single mothers in difficulties (familiar, work, economical or social difficulties). The hosts are assigned by the public health services. The structure hosts a maximum of 4 women and their children if they have any.

The Olona Valley is characterized by a typical vegetation of the Lombard moor and it offers different kinds of beautiful landscapes. History and nature, tradition and culture complete the richness of a peculiar territory with important buildings dating from medieval ages to the Renaissance. Olona river is the main waterway of the area: the presence of many cities and factories along the valley has polluted it for years. Now the water condition is getting better and the MTV is part of a project to support the protection and the rise the ecological state of the river. Legambiente stands in this project in collaboration with the main Regional institutions of Lombardy.
Work:
The work consists in monitoring the river, seeking areas that need to be cleaned in order to prevent hydro-geologic risks. The volunteers will be involved in the organization and coordination of two work-camps that will took place in the Valley.
