The Kindolstadt in Ingolstadt is going into its second round – and you can take part! Kindolstadt is a ‘city' for children between 6 and 14 years old in the "Nordwest" district of Ingolstadt. Most children and young people in the area live in this part of town, with up to 70% of them having migrant backgrounds from more than 120 countries. This year, the motto of the children's city is "international/language and intercultural learning". That's where you and your abilities come in! Your job will be to support the initial set up of the children's city during the first week of the camp, and then for the following two weeks to help supervise certain stations within the city (from Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:00). You are asked to draw upon your own backgrounds and international experience when working with the children. You should enjoy working with youngsters and be a creative person. What is a ‘children's city', exactly? Simple: for 3 weeks, children will design their own community and everything that comes with it: bakery, hospital, fire station, tools, their own currency and even taxes. Adults are not allowed and will need a visa to enter, which the children will be happy to provide for you!
Accomodation & food:
You will be sleeping on camp beds in large tents (4 – 6 people per tent) on the grounds of the Kindolstadt. There is also a large kitchen tent and a leisure tent, plus a shower and portable toilet. You will cook together in small groups. From Monday to Friday, during working hours, lunch will be provided.
Location & leisure:
The fortress town of Ingolstadt lies on the river Donau and has many historical sights to offer. The old town has churches, castles and houses, there are also museums and a zoo. You can go swimming in the outdoor swimming pool near the "Fronte 79" youth centre, which is in the town centre. There you can also get to know young people from the area after 16:00 as well as make use of the table football, pool table, and internet available (www.sjr-in.de/index_fronte). Excursions to Nuremburg, Munich and the Alps are possible. In the relaxation resort at Baggersee lake there is mini golf, boats for hire, a climbing centre, an animal enclosure and archery area.
Requirements:
You should enjoy working with children, speak foreign languages, good handiwork for helping set up the city, skills/knowledge of particular stations in the city are an advantage. There is a fee of 50 EUR for participants who are not from Germany.
Your help is requested in the further development of a project called "Garden of Paradise" for children. It is a yard designed according the concept of "Naschgarten". In this "snack garden", children can play like in an adventure park but they can also plant vegetables and fruit and then eat as they like. This year we can harvest fruits and finish this garden. Another project will be to build a playground for volleyball. We plan that volunteers of the workcamp will be the first playing a match there !It's manual work outside, sometimes with heavy tools. This project is a co-operation with the town council of Blomberg and the local EUWATEC GmbH, offering employment schemes.In previous workcamps the international volunteers helped to improve the play and sporting opportunities around the local youth center. A BMX course and a climbing park for the children has been already completed.
Study part:
We can learn about pedagogics of nature how it is practiced in the youth center. Beside this we ae invited to a cultural program, which offers us the opportunity to get to know Blomberg and its region.

Accommodation will be carried out in a holiday village. Accommodation always includes rooms with beds and cooking facilities. Sufficient sanitation facilities will be available, too. Please bring a sleeping bag or a warm blanket with you.

Blomberg has about 16.000 inhabitants and is situated in the eastern part of North Rhine Westphalia, a region which is characterized by farms, hills (up to 500 meters) and plenty of forests. Blomberg has a beautiful old town area with half-timbered houses and old alleyways. The old town is also home to a historical castle which now is established has a hotel. Nearby of Blomberg there are some bigger cities: Detmold (75,000 inhabitants, distance: 15km) and Bielefeld (330,000) inhabitants, distance 50km) in the west and Hannover (600,000 inhabitants, distance: 70km) in the northeast.

Your help is needed facilitating a play area week for children between 6 and 14 years old during the summer holidays in Langen, near to Frankfurt. Together with the supervisors on site, you will be doing sport, games and craft activities with the children. After an introduction and a communal preparation session on Sunday, you will then work directly with the children doing different activities. Please bring some ideas for games, sports and crafts with you. We would love for you to contribute your skills and talents which you can try out with the children. The theme this year is fairy tales. Please bring fairly tales from your home country with you, we would love to include some international fairy tales in our play area week.During the holiday camp you will be working from 2pm until 7pm on the play areas.

Langen is very close to Frankfurt and there are numerous free-time activities in Langen, such as a skate park and an outdoor swimming pool. In the youth centre where you will be staying, there is a pool table and table football. You could also visit the cities of Frankfurt, Mannheim, Koblenz or Heidelberg.

Pedagogical experience, a desire and interest to work with children are all absolutely necessary for this camp. Knowledge of the German language, along with a passion for artistic, creative, technical or sport activities will be an advantage. Do you like playing with children and want to ensure that children from the North-West Mecklenburg district enjoy great holidays? Then get involved and help to supervise 40 to 100 children aged 6 – 12 in the Hanseatic city of Wismar and in 3 other locations in North-West Mecklenburg, as a part of their holiday games events. With your ideas and flair for creative projects, sports, games, music and dance, you can make sure that these days are a great experience for both the children and yourselves. With games, songs and crafts ideas from your home countries, you can give the holiday event an international flair. In the first week of the camp, you will be preparing a press conference as well as the holiday games event. Afterwards, in the second and third week of the camp, you will be supervising the children together with the pedagogical team of employees on-site and putting your creative ideas into practice. The holiday event takes place in the Hanseatic city of Wismar and in the youth facilities in the North-West Mecklenburg district. You will travel to your place of work in Wismar by bike, via a beautiful 2km long cycle path along the small river Köppernitz. For the other sites you will need to travel with public transport. With the bicycles provided, you can also go on trips in the city and the local surroundings. You will receive holiday tickets to use on the public transport for any other journeys. You can play volleyball and football in your accommodation. You will be provided with bikes in order to go on trips to the Baltic Sea or the city centre. The Hanseatic city of Wismar is of the most beautiful old Hanseatic city on the coast of the Baltic Sea. Besides this, you can also go on larger excursions at the weekends to places such as Lübeck, Rostock, Hamburg, Berlin or the Isle of Poel.
Requirements:
Please bring some music and some ideas for games from your home country with you. You should have a good knowledge of German, an ability to work with children and be able to ride a bike.
The Agapedia children s centre has become very popular in the last couple of years and wants to expand the space, so they can offer more activities to children. Therefore, they plan on converting the attic into a suitable and usable space for children. You will be helping with the extension of the building as well as with general renovation work around the house, such as painting the walls. In addition to working inside, there are also plenty of tasks outside to improve the garden. Among other things, you will be constructing a new drainage pit and plant hedges. Make sure to bring clothes that can get dirty and sturdy shoes. Agapedia and the children will be excited to see the result of your work

You will stay at the children s centre itself and there ll be plenty of space. Mats for sleeping are provided, so you only need to bring a sleeping bag. In the centre you will have your own kitchen and sanitary facilities; there s even a washing machine. Several supermarkets are very close-by and you can easily reach the city centre by foot.

: Esslingen am Neckar is a town in southern Germany near Stuttgart, which is well known for its medieval historical centre with a lot of beautiful old buildings. It is home to the oldest sparkling wine cellar in Germany. The town has a lot of cultural activities to offer, such as museums, art galleries, theatre, and cinema. In addition, it is only a 15min tram ride away from Stuttgart, where you will find plenty of activities, for example you could visit the famous Mercedes or Porsche car museum. If you are more into outdoor activities, you could rent bikes and follow the beautiful bike trail along the river Neckar. There is also a swimming pool in Esslingen itself where you can cool off after a day of work.
Everything in this camp is about the international exchange between you and the children and young people form Solingen. The Solingen Youth Association organises summer holiday activities in different parts of the town with various partners for up to 500 children aged between 6 and 13 years old. Your help is needed with carrying out these holiday activities: together with volunteers from Solingen, you will supervise the children. During the introduction and communal preparation on Thursday and Friday, we will ask you for some of your own creative ideas: you should bring some of your backgrounds and stories from home with you, so that the primary school children can learn about other cultures during the activities. Perhaps you'll meet some children in Germany who also come from different countries or whose parents have moved here. Music, dances, customs, typical food, as well as every creative and sporty idea you have, are all welcome. Use your skills and get involved! You will also be helping out during the "Bärenwoche" week. The "Bärenwoche" is a children's activity week in a huge recreational facility (https://baerenwoche.blogspot.com/p/startseite.html). On offer are slides, air cushions, hockey sticks, craft ideas and much more. There are playgrounds in Solingen or at children's and youth meetings and the children can use the open offer as they wish. Here you will also be helping out with the supervision of the children. In the youth centre there will be a welcome festival at the start of the holidays, so that you can get to know the local young people. You will be helping to design the festival. We also want to have a meeting with you and the children, where the children will be able to ask you questions, so that the little visitors to our centre will be able to get to know you better. We thought of having a group football tournament as well. As you can see, you will never be bored during this camp. Anyone who wants to organise activities with children is welcome to joins us! Solingen is located in the Bergisch Land region and cities such as Düsseldorf and Cologne are easily reachable by train if you want to go on an excursion. Within 2 hours you can also travel to Xanten and spend a lovely day at the Xantener lake playing water sports and swimming. There is also a large archaeological park there, which you can visit. The Burg castle in Solingen is also worth a visit. It is the largest reconstructed castle grounds in the North Rhine-Westphalia region of Germany. You will be staying in the youth centre, which means you can also play table football and pool in your free time. The youth centre is in the town centre.

You help is needed to support a summer holiday activity programme for children aged 6 – 12 in Brauweiler, next to Cologne. Together with the supervisors on site, you will be organising sports, games and craft activities with the children. After an introduction during the first week, you will be working directly with the children for 2 weeks, doing different kinds of activities. Please bring your own ideas of sports, games and craft activities with you! We are very happy to make use of your ideas and abilities that you can try out with the children. During the holidays, you will work from 8am to 4pm, but you will have more free time during the first week to balance out working times.

Brauweiler is a district of Puhlheim and is located just outside of Cologne, the university town with numerous free time activities on offer, including Cologne Cathedral. There are also cafes, bars and a large outdoor swimming pool in Puhlheim. You could also go on trips to Bonn, Koblenz, Düsseldorf or anywhere in the Ruhr region.

Pedagogical skills, as well as an interest and desire to work with children are all absolute requirements for this camp. Knowledge of the German language would be an advantage, as would creative, artistic, technical and sports experience.
With your help, the outdoor areas of several nursery and primary school buildings in the area will be spruced up and decorated. For example, you will be carrying out a playground design project with the inner-city school Max-Planck-Gymnasium, sometimes with the children themselves. Besides this, you will be actively supporting the Youth and Culture Mile during the first weekend of the camp, as part of the "Neckarfest" town festival. Other activities are still being planned. There is also a project week at school in the week before the holidays. There will be another school festival, which you can also help out with.

You will be staying in a former Kindergarten right next to the Mörikeschule school. The group will prepare and cook meals together.
Location & leisure:
Nürtingen has around 41,000 inhabitants and is in the Neckar valley near to the Swabian Alb. Ride your bike through the beautiful landscape, to nearby bathing lakes, along the Neckar or in the biosphere area at the foot of the Alb. In your free time you will also have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoor pool, to visit a climbing forest and to explore Nürtingen and the student city of Tübingen. The state capital Stuttgart is only half an hour away by train and offers many possibilities: museums, opera, shopping, planetarium, theatre etc.
