The Ostbevern community is located in the middle of the Munsterland Region. The Jugendwerk Youth Organization looks forward to your team's help with a summer camp for about 150 children ages 8-12. Together with local volunteers, your team will work with the children in various areas during the two-week camp. Please bring game, sports, and craft ideas from home We look forward to meeting you if you have ideas to share with the children. During the children's camp, your team will work 8 hours per day, with a lunch break taken together.

Free Time:
In Ostbevern, there are lots of leisure activities, such as a skate park, a BMX park, a pool, and the youth center has billiards, foosball, and plenty of games. You can also visit the beautiful cities of Munster and Osnabruck. A day trip to the Netherlands is also possible.
Requirements:
It is absolutely necessary that you enjoy working with children and have a talent for it. Artistic, creative, and athletic abilities are an advantage.
There will be two main tasks: 1. To renew some parts of the playground linked to the local kindergarten (renovation of playing tools, gardening work, benches -) and 2. To set up a flying fox (cableway) as playing tool on the local playground. There might be some actions with children in the kindergarten as well. So please be prepared to present your country to local children.

Schillingen is a village 30 km from Trier in a beautiful landscape. The area is well known for cycling, walking and other ways of outdoor activities. The local holiday resort offers more than 200 holiday bungalows next to a lake. But also people from the area come here for cycling (there is a 45 km cycling path on a former railway roadbed) or to spend a nice day outside. Schillingen has a nice public swimming pool. The region also offers plenty of historic sites (castles, museums-.). You will also get the opportunity to come in contact with local associations as e.g. the local voluntary fire brigade. But public transport is poor during the weekend, so the number of excursions will be limited. But for sure Trier with the famous Roman sites, with the cathedral and birth place of Karl-Marx can be visited.
You will renovate the playground of a primary school in Rottenburg. Professionals will instruct you during the work. The parents and children of the school are looking forward to helping you with the work.

You will be accommodated in the gym directly next to the school in Rottenburg. Camp beds and sanitary facilities are provided. During the week you can eat lunches in the school.
Location & leisure:
Rottenburg offers various cultural as well as sport activities: museums, swimming pools, canoeing and an outdoor climbing wall. Nearby, there are hiking trails and castles which invite you to spend a relaxing day in the nature. The university town Tuebingen with plenty of cafes and bars is only 12km away and also Stuttgart can be reached in 1 hour by train.

Do you enjoy working with children and want to work with others to ensure that children in Wismar and Grevenmuehlen have an unforgettable summer? In Wismar and Grevenmuehlen, 40-100 children between the ages of 6 and 12 take part in a large summer camp each day. Every day has a new motto. Help with your ideas and your love of creative and active games, so that this is an unforgettable experience for both the children and your team. With games, songs, and crafts from your home countries, the camp will have an international flair. During the first week, you will prepare the activities, where your creative ideas are much appreciated. After that, you will work with the children, one week in Wismar, and for one week you will commute by bus to Grevesmuehlen, about 25 minutes away.

You will be provided with bikes for trips to the Baltic Sea and the city center. The city of Wismar (www.wismar.de), is only of the prettiest former Hanseatic Cities on the Baltic Sea coast. It has a beautiful historic city center, also a World Heritage Site, and a nice harbor. You will also have the opportunity to take trips, such as to Lubeck and Rostock, or Poel Island.
The Youth Department of the city of Bad Oeynhausen is once again putting on a two-week summer camp for 130 children ages 6-13. Local helpers as well as your IJGD group supervise the children. This year, the children will be taken on a phantasy trip to DINO-Land Here, they will learn lots about dinosaurs and the world these giant prehistoric creatures lived in. Fun games, crafts, and discovery activities await the children, and slowly the playground will turn into an excavation site for dinosaur finds. Your team will also build huts, where the children will learn to build with wood, hammers, and saws. Your supervision will be very important here Your team will also go on trips and an overnight stay with the children is on the program. Your creativity and ideas are welcome here

In Burscheid there are two projects that we need your help for In an evangelical nursing home, your team will create a festival for the residents there. The festival will be complete with a program, decorations, and your team will prepare it all together. Please bring music for dancing and singing, songs, pictures, traditional clothing, costumes, and other things that are typical of your home country, including recipes and other specialties. Your second project will take place in the ecological experiment workshop. Here, children and youth have the opportunity to experience nature responsibly. During a two week camp for elementary school children, your group will create various game areas outside, both with and for the children. Your team will gain experience in working with various materials such as wood, clay, straw, etc, as you collect them and create play areas out of them. Environmental knowledge and creativity will be taught and learned here. There will be plenty of sports and games here

Where: North Rhine Westphalia; Cologne 25 km, Frankfurt 200 km Free Time: In Burscheid there is a pool with an area to lay down, where you can cool off on the hot summer days. You can also take trips to nearby cities such as Cologne, Dusseldorf, or Bonn, and hike in the local area.
Requirements:
Knowledge of German is an advantage but not a requirement. You should be good at working with children, be physically fit since you will do construction work, and bring enough changes of clothes that can get dirty.
The Pegasus Cultural and Recreational Center is located in the center of Senftenberg and is the largest facility for children and youth in the city. In order to give them more variety, your job will be to design and create various playground equipment and play areas for the children. Together, we will brainstorm, plan, and build. Your creativity and ingenuity are needed here Each participant can bring in his or her playground experience from your home countries. Each of your creations will be tested by the playground experts--the kids--so that you can see your creation at work right away. After work, this international workcamp offers you the opportunity to improve your German language skills. Two hours of language instruction per day as well as using German in everyday situations will greatly improve your language skills. Your language instructors are native speakers and have experience in teaching German as a second language.

Together with the refugees we want to organize common activities, where the women and children are taken into consideration. In addition, our goal is to get in contact with the young members of the local protestant church to raise greater awareness for the refugees and to break the isolation of the refugees.Study partIn the study part of the camp, we want to discuss the situation of refugees in Germany and Europe, as well as the current developments in the area of Asylum-policies. We want to get in contact with the residents of the Asylum Centre so that we can learn about their stories, difficulties and perspectives. We will be invited to get in contact with students of the university that are willing to take care of the medical issues of the refugees and to pursue the legal issues of the asylum law. We will also meet students of the University who medicate people without legal status.

The workcamp will be hosted by a local protestant church which is already involved in working with the refugees. The premises of the church are plentiful and volunteers will have a lot of space for sleeping, cooking, dining, relaxing, and for indoor and outdoor activities.

Leisure Time: There are plenty of possibilities for leisure time activities. In the last years volunteers loved to canoe in the river Lahn. And visited nice towns like Marburg and Limburg.Region: Giessen, a city populated mostly by students located in the mid-west of Germany. It is easy to reach via Frankfurt airport and Frankfurt Hahn.

After confirmation, you will have to sign a self-commitment statement in terms of legal protection for children and young persons.
