In lessons with a German teacher the group will learn propable 3h/ day (exact times will be determined later on) in the forenoon. Grammar and communication will be deepened, requirements from the participants will be included, insofar possible.In the leasure time the participants are requested to speak also in German, so that the subject matter will be depened.

You will live at the centre in bungalows. You won't bring a sleeping bag with you, bed linen will be provided. There is no washing machine and only limited internet access in the centre.You will have the chance to prepare your own meals in a small kitchen at the centre. Please bring your own recipes for our international evenings.

You will live and learn in the „Projekt- und Begegnungsstätte". This is the meeting and project centre of the Union of Young Volunteers (VJF). It is situated in a forest on the banks of the lake „Langer See" in Berlin. It's a quiet place, a bit far from the centre of Berlin (but there are good public transport connections). The centre is used for our own or partners seminars and workshops, as accommodation for different groups of young people and a sort of holiday resort for school classes.This will be decided in accordance with the group's wishes. You can use the facilities at our holiday centre to play sports (volleyball, table tennis). Of course you will be able to enjoy the sights and culture (theatres, clubs...) of Berlin and go for an excursion to Potsdam.
Requirements:
Don't forget to bring strong shoes, lots of warm clothes (it might still be cold in Berlin), towels and toiletries and anything for entertainment. Please also bring a torch with you. This will be necessary for the path to the Krimnitzer Weg.You don't have to bring a sleeping bag, a roll mat or bed sheets! Please be aware that the place is a bit far away from the city and it won't be possible to go to the city every day!!! (For individual trips you have to pay yourself!)It is advisable to have International Student card (ISIC) to get reductions on local transport, museums, etc.

During the Kirchentag, the tasks will be to support the exhibition booth of ICJA, inform visitors about our workcamp activities and to perform small theater scenes. In addition, you will have the opportunity to join concerts, meditation sessions, and various panel discussions with personalities from the world of politics, science, art, business and the church. Most importantly, you can get in touch with many representatives of different organizations and visitors of the Kirchentag!Moreover, the activities during the workcamp will be documented (photos and videos) for public relations work of different organizations dedicated to peace work in Germany.

In Blomberg, you will be accommodated in a holiday homes, including beds, cooking (self-catering!) and sanitation facilities. During the Kirchentag in Dortmund, you will be accommodated in a school or community center. Volunteers will get breakfast and vouchers for meals. Please note that you need to bring a sleeping bag and a sleeping mat!

Blomberg has a beautiful old town area with half-timbered houses and old alleyways. The old town is also home to a historical castle which now is established has a hotel.
