During this camp we need to prepare our centre for the next workcamp season. The centre needs cleaning works like raking dead leaves, cleaning the yard or piling up the leaves. In case of bad weather, the dining hall also needs some renovation. Other small tasks during the camp may include maintaining or renovation works inside and outside.
Your help is needed to renew an adventure playground and to make it an attractive meeting place for the inhabitants of the village. The work will be supported by parents and some professional coordinators of the NGO NaturSpur e.V. (http://naturspur.de/). This is an organization which is specialized in coordinating of participative projects like playgrounds in villages. At the end there will be an opening ceremony together with children and families of the village. Kind of work will be: painting, wood work and earth moving.

Accommodation will be in an old historical half timbered house in the center of Bellheim. It offers all necessary facilities, including kitchen and bathroom. Please bring sleeping bag with you.

Leisure time: Bellheim offers a great variety of recreational activities: you can go swimming, hike through the wood near Bellheim, make biking tours, visit festivities around Bellheim or visit a town like Landau, Speyer, Germersheim or Karlsruhe.

We will assemble new from old bicycles. They are to be painted violet and be lent free of charge to interested people. Also we want to use the bicycles for ourselves, and to promote with our example the idea of the bicycle driving in our city. Some light work in the congregation-center- garden may be possible, too.

In the congregation-center there are nice rooms and a full equipped kitchen. Sleeping bag and sleep matt are necessary; Showers we find in the close Sport-resounds.

Study-part: Live with one another - learn from each other: A course in nonviolent conflict-resolution is part of the study part.Leisure time: Kickers, billiard and table tennis are present in our house. We will have trips into the historical old part of town, into a large swimming pool and to other goals according to desires of the group - also with the prepared bicycles into the surroundings.
PROJECT: After several successful workcamps in the last years, the local host invites again an international group! This years project revolves around the designing of an outdoor classroom and work on green area in the municipality. WORK: There are three projects waiting for the volunteers: First, the group will help to build an outdoor classroom, which will be used by the pupils and teachers on hot summer days. They will remove grass and prepare the surface which will be paved. Seats need to be set up, too. The second project will take place at the outside of a day child care where playground equipments will be installed. Lastly, the international workers will help to maintain public green areas in the municipality. Work can be heavy at times. Please be aware that you will get dirty! Therefore you should bring stable shoes and rubber boots Volunteers will work together with workers from the local building department. They are looking forward to another workcamp group. ACCOMMODATION: will be in a generous building of the fire brigade with all sanitary facilities provided. Kitchen and beds are in place as well. LOCATION: The community of Willstaett contains several villages with all in all around 9000 inhabitants. It is situated in the beautiful southern part of Germany close to the border to France. It is characterised by its beautiful architectural style of carcass houses. There is also a lot to see and discover in the landscape close to the black forest with its spectacular sights (waterfalls, castles). Close bigger cities like Freiburg or Strasbourg offer a wide range of cultural events. NEXT AIRPORT: Strasbourg, Stuttgart, Karlsruhe Baden-Baden (Ryan Air) NEXT TRAIN STATION: Appenweier, Kehl
Your help is needed in the design of a wall as a mosaic. And you are welcome to cook traditional meals from their particular countries for all participants. You will also be able to work with people from different generations. We will work on the cultivation of the garden of senses ; especially on further building playground apparatuses and benches using natural resources. Furthermore we will help to harvest fruit, vegetables and herbs and learn how to manufacture jam, teas and different kinds of oil, etc.

The participants will sleep in the big loft of the Muellerhof (80m) which includes a shower and toilets.
Location & leisure:
Since the Muellerhof offers different seminars to the local inhabitants, the participants are welcome to join these for free (e.g. pottery, crafts, etc.). The University of Applied Sciences, town hall, museum and church of Mittweida can be looked at. International Cuisine can be enjoyed at the Hort Sonnenschein . The project will also offer outdoor activities and guided hiking-tours in the area (e.g. a hike to the dam, the fortress Kriebstein or the Rochlitzer Porphyrberg). It is also possible to visit the cities nearby (Dresden, Leipzig or Chemnitz).
Requirements:
Dont forget to take work clothes, swim trunks/swim suits and a sleeping bag with you, traditional recipes to fix a tasty dinner, and do not forget where you come from but pass it on to everybody else, for instance by bringing typical things from your country, because we would like to get to know about your home and way of life.

This historical place shall be developed to a central meeting place for the inhabitants of the village.Kind of work will be: earth moving, laying stones and plates, planting and wood work. It is necessary to bring work clothes, raingear and sturdy shoes. You will work together with local volunteers of the village and craftsmen.

Working places will be around the swimming pool: Most important will be to renew the sitting places along a nature trail. Afterwards your help is needed to upgrade the camp of tents: to install a place for barbecuing and to create a square for beach volleyball. It is necessary to bring work clothes, raincoat, long trousers and sturdy shoes.

Accommodation will be in tents in the camping place which is part of the area of recreation and close to the water. There will be a tent as kitchen too. Toilets and showers of the swimming pool can be used by the volunteers. Please bring sleeping bag and isolation sheet.
Location & leisure:
There are lots of opportunities where to go in the free time: It s up to your choice to go swimming, trips to the picturesque city of Hachenburg, to the 800 hundred years old convent Marienstatt, to the old mine Silberhardt, to a company producing power plants (wind wills) or a day trip to Cologne or to the river Rhine. There is an artist in the steering team of the workcamp, he will offer you a workshop in creation of sculptures.

Volunteers will paint Window of Peace within the village, a wall for posters and other artwork, also for announcements concerning our work for peace. This means carpentry and painting. Volunteers with a talent for designing are also welcome. There is a nice garden around the buildings of the centre. We will do some garden work as well as renovating a (small) parking lot.

The accommodation of the participants is carried out in 4 - bed rooms. Lodging and board are free. No sleeping bags are required.
Location & leisure:
We will visit the former concentration camp of Bergen Belsen, the memorial of the division of Germany at the former border between the two Germanys and have lessons on the items of the former division of Europe and the peaceful revolution which marked its end, including a meeting with well-known german writer and eye witness of the revolution Freya Klier.
