In Reinickendorf, a northern section of Berlin, volunteer group will help with the restoration and repair of gravestones. Soldiers and civilians, both German and non-German are buried here; the cemetery is dedicated to their sacrifices. Among volunteerr tasks are planting and mowing lawns as well as cleaning and resetting of gravestones. Volunteer will also be planting a new flowerbed on the cemetery grounds. Free Time; Volunteers accommodation is very centrally located; volunteer can see the city on foot or with public transport. Even Berlins nightlife is easily accessible. Volunteer will be provided with public transport tickets, so volunteer can explore the city for free!

Working in the Heiligensee cemetery located at the northwest side of Berlin, volunteer will help with the restoration and repair of gravestones of war victims. German as well as non-German victims are buried here, soldiers as well as civilians; the cemetery is dedicated to them and their sacrifice. Among the necessary tasks are planting and mowing the lawn, cleaning the gravestones and resetting them. Volunteer will only work 4 days a week, so that volunteer have the opportunity to get to know Berlin and its culture, history, and East/West story.
Free Time:
Volunteerr accommodation is located near a protected nature area Tegeler Fliess, lakes, and other forests. Volunteer will have many opportunities to hike and explore these areas, as well as the Mecklenburg and Rheinsberg lakes, the Spree forest, and the Oder River. Berlin's city center is a short 30 minute ride away with public transport. Volunteer will be provided with a ticket for the public transport.
