Your help is needed to plan, organize, and run a large game festival for children, youth, and families in Ingolstadt, from May 29 until June 6, 2012. On the Fronte 79 grounds you will be taking care of the children while running various game stations with different creative, musical, artistic, and adventure pedagogical offerings. Please bring game and craft ideas from your home countries The game festival is the opening ceremony of the Game Offerings 2012 (Spielmobilangebote 2012) of the Youth Department of the city of Ingolstadt (www.sjr-in.de). Note: During the first week you will have time to prepare the program and get to know one another, as well as explore the surrounding area. From May 29th until June 6th you will be working 8 hours a day (including weekends), which will probably be divided into two shifts.

Location & leisure:
The city of Ingolstadt is located on the Danube River, and has many historical sights to offer. The old city center is marked by its churches, castles, and city halls. You can swim in the local pool or in a lake 2 kilometers away, walk along the Danube, relax in the park, go to the zoo, or visit one of the many museums the city has to offer. You can also take trips to Nuremberg or Munich.
Requirements:
A basic knowledge of German and pedagogical talent are required, and you should enjoy working with children.
Work: During the first week you will help to prepare and run the drumming festival RAKATAK". Afterwards you will help to clean the site. In the previous years 7000 visitors were present at the festival. Another task of this project will be designing, creating and renovating on the grounds of the youth club MAXIM and maintenance works in the climate garden of the youth club. Please be prepared for hard physical work from time to time! Location/Terminal: Berlin Special requirements: You have to be able to ride a bike Accommodation: You will live in a house. Your quarters will be very modest, but of course there is a kitchen and bathrooms. However, the youth club is a nice place to work, live and party.
The LyrikPark is a large literature and cultural festival, held from July 13-15 in a park in Hildesheim. It is run by the KulturFabrik Cultural Center Loeseke in cooperation with the Literature Office Forum. The term Lyric is understood as diversity here, as it comes up in music, readings, cabaret, interactive writing games, surprising book events, and in fascinating lyric-installations that were made especially for the park. Following the motto Was holds the World Together , 200 artists will present their work which have international and intercultural foci. Working together with cultural workers, artists, and carpenters, you will support the preparation and running of the LyricPark (setting up and taking it down, artist hospitality, publications, decoration). You will also be able to show your creative side when it comes to a few artistic contributions, such as a multilingual Lyric Installation for the program. The work aspect of the project is consisting of various renovations. Some renovations planned are: painting, floor work, wood work, and cleaning activities. In order to prepare for the festival light and sound equipment must be set up. Support assistance is also needed at the festival. For example; the serving of food and beverages, as well as all other things that needs to be done during the festival. During the second or third week, the international participants are given a chance to offer their ideas and activities to the children of the community of Rodenbach during their holiday games. The most requested activities are: music, arts and crafts, games, etc.

The municipality of Rodenbach is a central location in the Rhein-Main area and that makes it possible to visit the cosmopolitan city of Frankfurt and other interesting places.
PROJECT: The youth centre of Nagold is one of the oldest partners of IBG and for the past seventeen years they have organized very successful workcamps. Groups of volunteers were invited to help them with different renovation and cleaning tasks, making a movie about workcamps and organizing a Celtic festival. This year the city of Nagold is happy to host one of the biggest events in Baden-Wurttemberg called Landesgartenschau (garden festival) which will take place from April until October and gather more than 300.000 visitors and guests. Within this garden festival the Celtic festival is going to take place again and therefore your help and support is needed. WORK: The workcamp participants will be helping out at the Keltenfest in Nagold, a festival about Celtic history and living. In the beginning of the camp the work will focus on the preparation of the festival. The participants will get an introduction to Celtic history so that they all know what the festival is about. Throughout the festival the group will have different working tasks to fulfil. They will build different authentic constructions and produce Celtic costumes. From 21.07.-22.07. there will be children days at the festival, in which the group is going to help out and taking part in the team competition. ACCOMMODATION: The group will be staying in the youth centre with basic conditions. Two sleeping rooms with beds will be provided. Showers will be available at the swimming pool nearby. LOCATION: Nagold is situated in the beautiful Black Forest and has about 22.000 inhabitants. The youth centre, located in the inner city of Nagold, is a meeting point for young people aged 14-20. Beside many other possibilities to spend time in the youth centre you will find rooms and equipment to play music, to dance and make videos and plenty of other things to spend your leisure activities. Trips to Stuttgart and Tuebingen, hiking in the Black forest, horse and camel riding, swimming and playing beach volleyball are only some of the possible activities. PROJECT: During summer some communities in Germany host music festivals for young people. One of those festivals called Umsonst & Draussen (free of charge 12000-15000 visitors are expected. WORK: The international group will work together with many helpers from Karlstadt. The main tasks will be setting up of the stage and campground on the site of the festival as well as the disassembly at the end. While the festival is running the volunteers will assist in different areas: bar, stage, organisation, catering etc. Volunteers should be flexible enough to work long and unusual hours and enjoy music! Speaking or understanding basic German will be a plus! ACCOMMODATION & FOOD: The group will be lodged in tents on the site of the festival where all helpers will also stay. Food will be served in the festival canteen throughout the day. Sanitary facilities are given, but be aware of festival standards. Basic conditions! LOCATION: Karlstadt is situated in the Bavarian region called Franconia. The town holds around 7000 inhabitants and has a historical touch to it. If you are interested in architecture you will find lots of nice sights in the centre of town. Also the region with its vineyards and hills provide an opportunity for some calm and relaxing outdoor activities as an alternative to the hectic life of the festival. Beside the games in the mud there are activities for the guests and tourists attracted by the event. The idea of this work camp is to invite visitors to an international game without borders . You will be placed on the dyke (which is a kind of stand for the visitors) and you will offer games you know from your country. It should be creative and funny- You will have one week to prepare the games and things you will use for. If you need materials, it can be provided by the municipality. Games should be appropriate for children and adults as well.

Accommodation will be provided in a building of the municipality, presumably in the house of youth . Please bring sleeping bag with you.

Leisure time: Brunsbuttel is part of the coastal region Hamburg and there are lots of opportunities to spend the time. The Wadden Sea as world heritage site, go swimming, making a trip with a boat and visiting a lot of interesting places
A fantastic recreational area is located right on the Weser, at the edge of Lemwerder. You will help with designing the outside grounds and can try out various tools. Your team will also be building seating areas, play areas, and maybe even a small pier. Your team will also be able to participate in the Dragon Festival from August 17-19, 2012. Dragon kites from all sorts of countries and 30,000 visitors are expected. Together with other youth from Lemwerder, you will help with putting up stands, attend to visitors, entertain their children, and take part in many events of the festival.

You will be staying in a community center. Meals will be provided as a group.
Location & leisure:
You can find plenty of sports opportunities near your accommodation. You can go on bike rides along the Weser or walk along the swimming hole (www.lemwerder.de). In the community you can find various grocery shopping possibilities, but for shopping and going out, you need to take the ferry and bus to Bremen (ca. 1 hour). On the weekends you can take trips to Hamburg and the North Sea coast, or visit the Lower Saxony Wattenmeer, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (www.wattenmeer-weltnaturerbe.de). Your participation in the Dragon Festival means that you will not be able to take any trips on this weekend; you will therefore, with permission, be able to have a few days off during the week.
