Under the "Internationale Woche – Die Welt zu Gast" (International Week – the world as our guest) in the area of Bamberg, you will be building a multi-generational playground in the Stegaurach community. We envisage a meeting place for people, both young and old, with both quite zones as well as more active activities. Our current ideas are a boules court, a sensory garden, a barefoot walk, and balancing games. You will be guided through the on-site work by local builders. You will be building playground equipment, laying down paths and planting things, distributing gravel, plastering as well as building a seating area and an area with protection from the sun.
Accomodation & food:
There will be two rooms sectioned off from the rest of the town hall in order for you to sleep there. You will receive beds with covers and pillows. There is a kitchen in the building. Showers are in the sports hall, located next door. Meals will be prepared and cooked in groups together.
Location & leisure:
As part of the International Week from 22nd until 30th September there will be many events taking place in the region, in which you can take part. The group will receive two minibuses, so that you are able to travel around. In the sports hall and on the sports fields you can play sports and games. 10km away from your accommodation is a beautiful natural lake. You can also take the minibuses and travel to the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Bamberg.

"Denkmal!Kunst – KunstDenkmal!" is a festival, taking place in 5 towns across Germany from 30.09 to 08.10.2017. 80 historical buildings will be opened to the public and newly brought to life with specially selected works of art and events. As part of the festival, the Lenzhaus in Osterode, an old factory building, will be professionally renovated. Together with a class from a secondary school from France, your group will be helping to rebuild a house; you will learn manual labour techniques from the past and work with traditional materials. The house will later be needed for public use, for example as an arthouse with available galleries and workshops. You will be staying in a former production hall on the Eulenberg campsite; there you will have your own large common room available.www.festival-dkkd.dehttps://www.facebook.com/DenkmalKunst-Festival-1692869197610453/http://www.fachwerk5eck.de/https://www.facebook.com/fachwerk5eck/

The ground in front of the guest house needs to be re-done: You will help with creating a paved terrace, setting up a wooden separation (that divides the terrace and a near-by path), and planting the area in the end.
Accomodation & food:
You will be accommodated in one of the log cabins; it offers rooms for four people each, a well-equipped kitchen, sanitary facilities, and a community room of 36qm. In front of the building, there is a lot of space to do sports or have a camp fire.
Location & leisure:
The Centre is located amidst nature; it belongs to the village Koenigsdorf, which is, however, about 4-5 km away. Although the area is rural, you will probably be able to do a trip to Munich (50km) and to the famous lake Starnberger See (30km distance). The place itself is great for hiking - it s the perfect project for nature lovers
« The outside world did not interfere, because it seemed so distant, and so we spent our spare time getting to know each other and learning about each other countries', languages and cultures. Everyone was completely relaxed. This simply would not have been possible on any other type of holiday. VAP enabled me to have a truly memorable experience. »
