Every year in the holidays the hiking club offers activities in the nature for 25-30 children in the age of 5-12 years old. They are very happy to get your support in organizing games for the kids and about new creative ideas from you. Your second task will be to rebuild the bowling alley. This work will be instructed and guided by a carpenter.

The group will stay in the sports hall with camp beds and all necessary facilities provided. Bicycles will be arranged for the volunteers.

Heidesheim is a small community with approximately 7000 inhabitants. It is located near the well-known river Rhine. You can go hiking or cycling and enjoy the beautiful Rhine valley with its picturesque towns and castles. Heidesheim is only 10km from Mainz, the state capital and university town with many cafes, restaurants and clubs.

During the previous workcamps the international volunteers helped to improve the play and sporting opportunities around the local youth center. A BMX course and a climbing park for the children are already there. In the last workcamps volunteers started to prepare and plant a garden for children according the concept of Naschgarten . In this snack garden . children can play like in an adventure park but they can also plant vegetables and fruit and then eat as they like. This year we can harvest fruits and finish this garden. Its manual work outside, sometimes with heavy tools. This project is a co-operation with the town council of Blomberg and EUWATEC GmbH.Study: We can learn about Pedagogics of Nature how it is practiced in the youth center. Beside this we ae invited to a cultural program, which offers us the opportunity to get to know Blomberg and its region.

Accommodation will be carried out either in a in a holiday village or in a house about 4 kilometers outside of Blomberg at the edge of a wood. It s a house for seminars and leisure time and part of a little airfield. Accommodation includes cooking facilities. Sufficient sanitation facilities will be available, too. Please bring a sleeping bag or a warm blanket with you.

There will be plenty of meetings with young people from Blomberg in the evenings and on the weekends. Furthermore the participants have the opportunity to take part of fieldtrips and get to know the local school. The participants are entitled to 1-2 days off for personal use.Blomberg is a small historical town of about 17,000 inhabitants in the area of the ancient Furstentum, nowadays it is called the Lippe district. Blomberg has a beautiful old town area with half-timbered houses and old alleyways. The old town is also home to a historical castle which now is established has a hotel. The region is characterized by farms, hills (up to 500 meters) and plenty of forests. Nearby of Blomberg there are some bigger cities: Detmold (75,000 inhabitants, distance: 15km) and Bielefeld (300,000 inhabitants, distance 50km) in the west and Hannover (600,000 inhabitants, distance: 70km) in the northeast.
A youth center run by the Social Pedagogic Institute in the Felixsee community, 15 km from Spremberg, is located in a forested area near the Felixsee Lake. It is complete with a lookout tower. Here, children and youth find the ideal spot to spend their free time and vacation time, while being active in games and sports outside. This workcamp is taking place for the 14th time On your itinerary is preparing and running a large game in the form of a world quiz, which will later be used by the children and youth. You can also be active outside, carve figurines out of soapstone, as well as help maintain and beautify the building and the outside grounds. You will also have the opportunity to get to know the land and the people, as well as support various events.

You will have internet access and bikes. In Spremberg, you will find a pool, a movie theater, a bowling alley, a disco, and much more. A high ropes course is also located nearby, as well as horseback riding and boat rentals.
Requirements:
Participants under the age of 18 must bring a permission slip from their parents in order to be allowed to swim. The swimming area is unsupervised.Please bring a sleeping bag.
Open Houses will from 2016 on restore the historical roof construction of the Renaissance Manor House at Lohra Castle and carry out this summer the necessary preparation works. The volunteers of the Building Weeks B07 will work in the original roof construction which kept nearly unchanged since 1574. They will uncover and underpin the beams of the historical roof construction, remove the rubble and document the current situation.

So it would be very nice if you could bring typical recipes from home in order to introduce each other to the preparation of food from all over the world.

Our houses are mostly situated in rural countrysides and small villages, so you should not expect busy places and normal city activities for the leisure time during the working days. Small trips in walking distance are possible in the afternoon.On the weekends it is possible to organise excursion to nearby cities or have other leisure activities.
Youth and young adults from all over the world will meet at this farm to create new adventure space together. Your team will work five hours per day on climbing and playground equipment for the children here. When your team isnot working, there s plenty of time to get to know the other members of your team Through cooking together, you will find out what a culinary world trip is like
