A garden, a pottery with a furnace, work shops to work with wood and metal, a shop offering local home made goods and vegetables, stables for horses, goats, sheep and geese as well as a bread bakery have already been created. However there is still much to do. Our help is needed for the renovation of old walls of the farm building. This means plaster work, pointing the bricks and painting. The walls are constructed in traditional loam technique. Beside this we are invited to maintain and harvest the garden and do numerous other renovation works inside the house.Study Part: We can learn about integrative Montessori pedagogics, there will be an excursion to a school working in this field. There will be offered a guided tour by an organic farmer, where we can get to know about sustainable farming.

Accommodation will be very, very basic, in a room with mattresses or camp bed. As compensation we can use a well appointed kitchen, a very comfortable and homely living room and lost of space in the court outside. WiFi will be provided.
Location & leisure:
The Schollenhof is located in the Upper-Rhine lowlands between the Black Forest ( Schwarzwald ) and the bordering territory with France. From the yard one can see black forest as panorama. The area is very famous for its beautiful scenery and cherry tree flowers in the spring.Leisure time: In your free time the group is free to explore the region with bicycles. There will be visits organized to picturesque places in the Black Forest and to the French city Strasbourg.

In Urensollen, your help is needed to turn an old transformer station into an animal protection tower. Together, you will work on renovating the transformer station so that it can be the crown jewel of the city. At the same time, it will serve as a new home for various animals such as barn owls, house martins, swifts, bats, bees, and insects, since the nest areas will be protected. Your team will also plant trees and bushes to beautify the area. As a special challenge, an old basement is in need of your ideas and help.

The Wernigerode Youth Hostel awaits in a quiet area with a view over the city. During this camp, your group will do various repair tasks on the outer grounds. You will improve a playground and repaint it. Additionally, other tasks need to be done in the hostel s yard. All tasks will be done under expert leadership.

Wernigerode, Saxony-Anhalt; Magdeburg 80 km, Braunschweig 60 km. The historic city centre is not far away, and the hostel has plenty of leisure activities. It s also a great starting point to discover the Harz region. Wernigerode is known for its historic city hall the castle, and you will find six centures of the traditional German Fachwerkhaus in Wernigerode. The Harz National Park offers nature lovers and avid hikers a diverse landscape around the largest mountain in northern Germany. Whether by foot or cable car, the Brocken Mountain is always worth a trip. On the weekends, you can visit the cities of Leipzig, Halle, Gottingen, and Magdeburg. These cities have their own individual charm to discover.
Volunteers will do landscape works at the panorama hiking trail in Duchroth. This trail offers beautiful views and presents the topic Landscape and Art in and around Duchroth . It is a project of the municipality Duchroth in cooperation with the University of Design in Offenbach. Your work will mainly be the maintenance of paths and sandstone walls. The major of Duchroth, local workers and volunteers are looking forward to supporting you in the project.

Location & leisure:
Duchroth with its 600 inhabitants is a lively winegrowing centre with a centuries-long tradition. The Rebsortenlehrpfad ( Grape teaching path ) teaches you all about the grape varieties and viniculture. In the historic centre you can learn about the more than 1000 year old history of Duchroth or enjoy the local wine in one of the restaurants. Nearby towns to visit are the health resort Bad KreuznachorIdar-Oberstein, which is famous for its jewellery. Mainz, the state capital, is also easily accessible by train. The locals are very excited to help you in organising trips in the region.
Pulsnitz, known as the pepper cake city, needs your help to build a BMX faciiltiy in a city green space. This will be done together with other local youth. The track will be planned by working together with the local youth as well as a nearby planning agency. Your group’s focus will be to make the hill in a form with curves and jumps. You will be led by an expert planner.

Accommodation in a gym. Lunch will be provided Monday through Friday, all other meals will be prepared as a group.

About 30 km northeast of Dresden. You can visit the pepper cake workshop, the pools in Pulsnitz and Grossnaundorf, visit the historic observatory in Pulsnitz, as well as the puppet theater, pottery shops, and the textile stamping workshop. In Dresden, you can visit the baroque historic city center, with countless museums and exhibits, or visit the new city center with its pubs. More leisure activities can be found at www.dresden.de.
The playground will be created in a new part of the village where young families have recently moved in. The foundation has already been laid. Your tasks will be to set up the new playing equipment, build a fence to prevent children from running into the street, construct wooden benches for the parents, and do some gardening work. In addition to these tasks, a part of the group will stay at the accommodation and renovate the building of the sport s club and perform maintenance on the surroundings.

The group will stay in the sport s club house of Schwarzerden, one of the smaller villages (500 inhabitants) within the community of Freisen. All necessary facilities are provided (camp beds, kitchen, showers, barbecue place, plenty of space outside-) but it is quite isolated and there is no public internet. The building is the biggest hall in the village so it is also used as a kind of community centre.

Freisen is situated in the north of Saarland in a rural area. You can find many interesting places in and near Freisen: a historical railway, cultural and natural sights, a zoo and a spa bath. The local villagers are already looking forward to interacting and welcoming you to one of the many local village festivals.
The main purpose of this project is to renovate the outdoor area of the information centre of the nature conversation association, called “House Beaver & Co.”. Your help will be mostly needed to make fences out of wickerwork, to reconstruct the beaver’s lodge, to build a cellar for bats, to repair signposts and other environmental works around Alt Necheln. Please be prepared for any environmental and construction work that will help the environment.

You will live in Brueel, a small city not far away from your working place Alt Necheln. You will be accommodated in the gym next to the school. Everything is in the building: sleeping rooms, a kitchen and a big meeting room. Sleeping bags and roll mats are required. You will go by bike to your working place everyday. So please be prepared for a 20 minutes ride in the morning and in the evening.
Special requirements:
In this camp you have to be able to ride a bike and to swim!
The volunteers will carry out different works in the castle s complex and its surroundings. They will do small renovation works and woodworks in and around the castle in order to protect and to restore the historical buildings. Additionally, the participants will clear up different parts of the ensemble and take care of the green area around by cutting grass, mowing the lawn, digging up the garden, clearing it of weeds and cleaning historical walls from roots.

Our houses are mostly situated in rural countrysides and small villages, so you should not expect busy places and normal city activities for the leisure time during the working days. Small trips in walking distance are possible in the afternoon.On the weekends it is possible to organise excursion to nearby cities or have other leisure activities.
