Project : In partnership with Dynamo Association, that has a bicycles repair workshop, we created a bike itinerant workcamp with several activities.
Work :
The first task will be learn to repair your own bicycle and to organise the bike trip, furthermore you'll learn some bike welding. Entertainment of cycle routes and organisation of a photo/video exhibition of this bike trip.
Leisure Activities :
You'll discover the beatiful region of Lorraine by bike, meeting several associations and you'll participate to the bicycle party and at the Alternatiba Tour.
Festival Plein la Bobine 2015, a film festival for children, with, this year, the thematic of the sea! Do you like cinema? Are you interested in this thematic? So, this workcamp is made for you! You are interested by all of them ? So, this workcamp is for you! The AFFE (local organisation for a film festival for children) runs every year the festival “Plein la Bobine” for children from 3 to 12 years old with the aim to develop programs of visual education in connection with cinema. Work:
You will fully participate in the setting up of the festival: installation of the scenery, the exhibitions, the equipment, preparation of badges, posters, signposting. One part of your work will be linked to the young public : welcome, seating, etc.
Leisure Activities:
Once there, your leaders will offer you several activities, especially the first week, the second is totally dedicated to the festival. But you can bring your own ideas, be imaginative! We expect you to participate in the group activities that are going to be chosen as a group. Have fun!
Location:
You will be accomodated in the La Bourboule spa town (at an altitude of 852 metres), in the middle of the Natural Park of the Auvergne Volcanoes. La Bourboule is located nearby the banks of the Dordogne River crossed by a dozen of bridges and has a splendid wooden park. You will be accomodated close from hiking paths and you will enjoy the activities organized by the municipality for the spa users. You will also have access to the facilities of the town: shops, activities,...

In a leisure center with facilities and a kitchen. There will be mattress. Bring your sleeping bag.
Special Requirements :
- Knowledge in the camp activities is very welcome. - The life in a festival is often hectic and days could be long. This workcamp is different from the others! You have to be available and to know how to react facing different situations.- - French speaking camp because you will be in contact with the public .
The National Stud institution of Rosière aux Salines will welcome you at about 15 minutes from the city of Nancy. There, you can discover equestrian activities and learn techniques in the renovation of old 'hippomobile' cars.
Work:
The team will renovate 'hippomobile' cars, that is to say cars moved by horses, according to soft and traditional techniques.
Leisure Activities:
On your arrival, leaders will propose several activities; but your ideas are welcomed and everything can be discussed. So be imaginative, the workcamp is a place for having fun! We don’t expect you to do activities on your own, you will live an experience in a group and things are planned within the group. Do not forget it !
Location:
The stud farm of Rosières aux Salines is a well preserved site, offering numerous activities around the horse. It is also a centre of pre-production, training and hosting of equine artists.
Accommodation:
You will be hosted in a building, not far from the site.
For the sixth consecutive year, the association Vir'Volt and its partners are organising the Vir'Volt Festival (27-28 June), an artistic inter-cultural event designed to vitalise the local community. Through live-music performances and other activities the festival provides a platform for meetings and cultural exchange between volunteers (both local and international), artists and the general public.
Work:
As a volunteer you will alternate between two kinds of workshop: one focussed on designing and creating decorations for the venue, the other taking place in a recording studio with the aim of preparing a musical performance to be delivered during the festival. In order to promote the festival, volunteers will give musical and theatrical performances in the town, and during the festival itself they will play the role of the offbeat police, our very own international guardians of the peace!
Accomodation & food:
Volunteers will sleep in communal tents (yurts, tipis) on the association's campsite. Participants need to bring along a sleeping bag.
Location & leisure:
The town of La Ferté-sous-Jouarre, 60 km East of Paris, in the Seine-et-Marne region.Volunteers will have the chance to enjoy the association's campsite and to discover the cultural and natural heritage of a region which is home to such famous products as Champagne and Brie. Volunteers will also be able to attend a range of events in the area, such as the concerts in the kiosk, which take place in the town every Sunday throughout the month of June.
For the 21st year in a row, the association Souvigny Grand Site proposes to a group of volunteers to get involve in carrying out a remarkable one-week medieval event. This event hosts more than 30 000 visitors each year.
Work:
The team of volunteers will take part in the preparation, as well as in the daily animation of several stands. At the end of the week, volunteers will help in clearing the location. This year the association is also going to work on gathering testimonies and anecdotes about the Fair, in order to compile them on paper and give birth to the first issue of the "Gazette de la Foire".A very intense working week is waiting for you punctuated by great meetings. This workcamp is a challenging experience which requires each volunteer to be really motivated all along the week.

This summer the town of Torcy is hosting the fourth edition of the 'Festi'Val Fraîcheur', an urban-culture festival, organised by local youth associations, which showcases performances of music, graffiti and break dancing. The aim of this festival is to promote the expression of cultural diversity, to create links between different generations of people and to encourage young people to engage with their community.
Work:
As a volunteer in this camp you will work with local young volunteers from various partner organisations to help to prepare the park where the festival takes place. You will work in order to make the venue accessible and safe to all, as well as attractive. You will also help to promote the festival in the local community and act as stewards for the public during the festival itself. After the event, you will help to clear the site of the festival and celebrate the end of the project with the local partners!

You will sleep on mattresses in a local gymnasium.

Leisure Activities:
You will have the opportunity to meet many other young people from the community of Torcy and its surrounding areas. You will also be able to arrange other activities according to the opportunities and the available budget.
The project Lou Baou and UNAREC associations have joined forces to organize maintenance and upgrading of the natural and human heritage of the Pyrenees, with an emphasis on collective dynamics, and local solidarity .
Work:
You will participate 4 hours per day doing different types of work...
- Environmental work (clearing and slash recovery , irrigation of wetlands) - Construction work (dry toilet, solar showers) - Renovation work of two barns (cleaning, small masonry stone walls, beams)
MANDATORY:
Please bring safety shoes, you will be working on a work camp, it is important to protect your feet.
Leisure Activities:
The facilitators of your workcamp will propose you several activities. Each volunteer has to participate actively with the tasks of daily life (cooking, shopping, camp maintenance) and cultural activities. Be creative! You will live a group life experience! The stay will be marked by eco-citizenship education through practices such as the sorting of waste, the production of compost, manufacture and use of dry toilets. Depending on the schedule you will organize your free time with the help of your leaders.

"Babou Granges" is located at 1000m altitude. It consists of pastures, wetlands, forest, hiking trails and 2 barns that will be restored during the following camps and years.

Special Requirements:
This camp will be focused on the themes of educational leisure , citizenship education , eco-citizenship, volunteering , intercultural education by the meeting and the participation in local festive events. You'll learn some techniques related to the works of the camp.

Please bring waterproof hiking boots or wellies - A special warm down mountain from 0 to -10 ° - Rain gear.
