The project Paris will host next December 's COP21 (Conference on Climate Change). The city of Ile Saint Denis go into action to hightlight solidarity initiatives for the fight against global warming, and wants to involve young people through a workcamp filming a video about these initiatives.
Works :
Volunteers, helped by a local organization, will film a video taking inhabitants’ testimony. They will participate in preparation of activities for events of COP21 and take part of association activities (construction in recycled materials, workshops).
Activities :
Volunteers, with the help of leaders, will decide the program of activities for the afternoons and weekends. Games will be organised, meals with locals, tours and bike rides in the area, and a visit to Paris will also be provided. Volunteers are welcomes to participate to local activities (sports, byke, gardening).
Location :
L’Ile Saint Denis is a small town really dynamic in which community life is highly developed, volunteers will meet people from around the world in these multicultural community.
Accomodation :
Accomodation will be in tents. The place for eating and take a rest is a shared associative space.
Special Requirements :
Each volunteer will have the opportunity to make a traditional meal of his country, so bring your recipes.
Located in Seine-Saint-Denis, Villemomble is a dynamic city with a rich associative life. This year, Concordia Ile-de-France, ICF La Sablière and the association Quartiers Libres are uniting for urban art and a social-educational activities project. With the local children you will take part in the realisation of an ambitious urban art project to revitalize a passage between two parts of the residence. 70 metres will be a support for your imagination!
Work:
With a technical leader you will take part in an urban art project. Throughout the workcamp, you will share many good times with the local children.
