The camp hosts are Municipality of Kurikka and local museum association. The volunteers will work half of the time in beautiful surroundings of the Pitkamo camping area, where the work involves tidying the lawn, spring cleaning the cottages and painting. The other half of the time volunteers will work in the cultural area of Jyllinkoski Electricity Park, and will be repairing the nature trail. The aim of this camp is to bring multicultural atmosphere to the town of Kurikka, and for volunteers to work together with locals. There will be also leisure activities together with the locals.
Accommodation:
The volunteers will stay at the log cabin in the Pitkamo camping area. Lunch will be served at the Kurikka School.
Location:
Kurikka is located in province of Western Finland, about 350 kilometers from Helsinki. The population of Kurikka is 14,300.
Terminal:
Kurikka. The nearest railway station is Seinajoki and the nearest airport is the Vaasa airport.
Special remarks:
The volunteers need proper outdoor working clothes.
The volunteers need travel insurance for the duration of their stay.
