Kopu Primary School occupies old German manor house surrounded by the large park. There will be various jobs in the school park, around the school building and other important places in the community - mainly clearing and tidying up of the park as well as other objects such as public playgrounds, local graveyard, surrounding of newly opened visiting centre etc. Another important work is preparing woods for the school heating in winter period. In cooperation with Tipu Nature School volunteers will have the opportunity to help out there for one day i that gives you the chance to see a bit of Soomaa National Park that is situated just next to Kopu Municipality. Work will be mainly outdoors. Volunteers will be working along side with local youngsters of the national camp. The work will last 4 hours a day from 9am until lunch. After lunch there will be diverse activities together with local youngsters and free time for the group own activities. The age of local young people is 14-26.

Accommodation:In the Kopu school sport facilities. Vounteers will sleep in beds. Mattresses, pillows, blankets will be provided but please bring your towels. Toilets and showers are available. Meals will be prepared by kitchen staff and are served in the school canteen twice a day, dinner will be brought to the sporting centre.

There are different jobs during the camp: tidying up of the park and the area around Puhja School, picking cucumbers and other vegetables in the garden, doing some odd jobs. Volunteers will work together with local youth (age 13-20 years). Work will be mostly outdoors. The work will last only 4 hours a day from 9am until lunch. Weekends are free. Afternoons and evenings are filled with trips to different cities in Estonia to get to know Estonia and its culture better. Also different leisure activities, teamwork exercises, adventure park visits, swimming, etc. are organised after the working hours and in the evenings. International volunteers are asked to introduce their home culture and habits, so that all camp participants can get to know more about all of the countries where the participants are from.

Accommodation is organised in Puhja school building, girls and boys in different rooms. Volunteers will sleep on the mattresses. Participants have to bring their sleeping bag and towel. Puhja village lies about 25 km from Tartu, which is the second biggest city in Estonia. Distance from the capital Tallinn is about 200 km. The area of Puhja is known for its outstanding beauty - many lakes, rivers, lots of bog and forest. The Alam-Pedja National Park with its amazing wild life is close by in Puhja. The youth centre placed next to the school house has a lot to offer - participants can play pool, pinks, x-box games, board games, check their mails, etc. There will be also many outdoor activities planned: swimming, barbeque, hiking, canoeing, climbing, adventure park visit, etc. Participants suggestions for leisure time are very welcome as some of the evenings are planned according their interests. Also there will be trips to summer capital Parnu, famous spa-town with nice sea side, to the University town of Tartu, historical Viljandi and other places.

The work will include landscaping, clearing and tidying up green areas and objects of local importance, some renovation jobs in villages of Jarvamaa and Viljandimaa County, mainly in the villages of Imavere and Kasukonna. The work will be mainly physical, indoors and outdoors. The working day is 5-7 hours, 5 days a week. Work will be done under supervision of local technical leaders. Local young people will be joining international volunteers for work and leisure.

Various works in the forest: cutting unwanted trees and bushes, burning old tree brunches and brushwood, preparing firewood for heating the farm; also some odd jobs in the farm buildings as well as general household work. Most of the work will be outdoors. There can be also some light maintaining works indoors if weather is too rainy. The work will be usually 4-6 hours a day, the rest of the time will be spend to get acquainted with the area, its natural and historical sites as well as with local people. Local people will join the camp for work and leisure.

With the support of the state and local authorities the eco- and farm sustainable tourism has been developed in this area. Besides promoting the environmental tourism, this initiative supports rural development, which is an important issue for Estonia. Estonian Association of Farm Tourism has launched several projects, and Kiidi Farm, where the camp takes place, is one of them. It is run by the large Piho family with 8 kids of different age.
