The event area is quite big, and there is a lot of preparation work to be done. You will also be involved in preparing technical and visual side of the event and making sure the event goes smoothly. So expect anything from decorating the rooms and especially areas outdoors, carrying the necessary equipment to the area to meeting, welcoming guests, showing directions and so on. You have to be creative, quick on your feet, able to find solutions on the spot, be flexible. And you have to be prepared to work outdoors at Estonian winter conditions.
Accomodation & food:
Volunteers will live in the Vikings Village in a common shared room with good heating. Please bring a sleeping bag. Toilet and shower is available. Volunteers will have at least one meal per day provided by the village, other times you will prepare food by yourselves, for example on a camp fire outdoors. The ingredients will be provided by organizers. Please be prepared for low temperatures outside and being outdoors a lot.

Volunteers will be part of the events first aid team. Volunteers will be trained in some basic first aid aspects and then work together with local first aid volunteers in shifts. Work will mainly include: packing, prepping and getting first aid kits to the event sites, escorting people in need of first aid to the designated stations, providing first aid as well as other organizational help. Working days may be pretty long however working time will be divided into shifts. There will be some days off in between working days. All work will be done together with local volunteers.

Volunteers will live together with some local volunteers in Harku School https://harkujarve.kovtp.ee/ sharing one large room (hall). Please bring your sleeping bag. The school has showers, washing facilities, toilets. Meals will be provided during working days at the working place. During days off i either in the city or at the accommodation place.

LocationTallinn Song Festival grounds (http://lauluvaljak.ee/en/ ) are situated by the sea front, about 10 min bus ride from the city center. Volunteers will be provided with free transport passes to all city public transport for the duration of the event.LEISURE Volunteers will have passes for the entire festival area, so they can see the entire event. Besides, there are a lot of possibilities for leisure time activities since camp takes place in Tallinn i European Culture Capital 2011, where one can find attractions for all tastes: sightseeing and museums, festivals, concerts, live-music, pubs, etc. There is also a game planned for the last day of the camp, where volunteers will be taken out of town to play an active quest/ game together
