Denmark is relative densely populated, but Thy National Park is a rare area of Danish wilderness. Throughout time people have lived with and struggled against nature, which has left historical landmarks as 3000 years old grave mounds, 1000 year old churches and wartime fortifications from World War II. Fishermen still fish from small boats direct from the beach in the minor villages along the coast. But you also find cafés, surf schools and a sea pool. Tourists bring the villages alive in the summertime, but you still find you a lot of quit places at the beach or in the wild. There are all kinds of weather here, from perfect sunny and quit days to days with heavy winds and rain.Outdoor activities involving water or tree climbing will be arranged during the stay. Local volunteers will show and tell about nature and the history of the area.

« The outside world did not interfere, because it seemed so distant, and so we spent our spare time getting to know each other and learning about each other countries', languages and cultures. Everyone was completely relaxed. This simply would not have been possible on any other type of holiday. VAP enabled me to have a truly memorable experience. »
