Project:
The main goal of the workcamp is to help in the development of an eco-village on Motajica mountain which is located 20 km from Srbac. The camp is financially sponsored by the Municipality of Srbac and some local private companies, such as local supermarkets providing some food and drinks, textile companies with t-shirts, etc.
This year's camp is the 5th in a row and every year there were more and more volunteers coming from Germany, England, Russia, France, Sweden, Czech Republic, etc.
We consider this camp as an intercultural exchange and a chance for others to discover Bosnia and its natural beuties and people.
Work:
Volunteers will work on building of a village wooden houses; marking footpaths to the highest peaks of Motajica mountain; arranging the brook on picnic grounds; daily ecological and creative workshops.
Accommodation:
Volunteers should bring tents and sleeping bags, summer wear and some clothes for the summer nights, they should also bring bathing suit and some games and music from their country + positive energy and a smile. Food is prepared by our staff, so volunteers will have 3 meals a day plus open food and drinks bar 24 hours a day (also complementary).
Travel Terminal:
It all depends from which direction you're coming from, so, here are the best travel routes. Zagreb (Croatia), Belgrade (Serbia), Sarajevo (Bosnia), which ever is closest to you. From these cities there are several buses daily to Banja Luka, which is our region's capital city. From Banja Luka,there are also several buses daily to SRBAC, your final destination.
Leisure activities:
- Trip to the ecological reserve of Bardaca (Ramsar protected area of wetlands, 25km west of Srbac). - Picnic on the top of Motajica mountain. - Visiting the city of Srbac, and afternoons at the swimming pool.
