The volunteer will be involved in the preparation and the animation of international workcamps. He/she will be especially in charge to lead one camp in July and one camp in August. In July, he/she will participate in CBB03 Centre Couleurs du monde a refugee center of the Belgian Red Cross. He/she will then coordinate a group of 6 international volunteers and will help in decorating and maintaining the park of the center. In August, the volunteer will take part in the camp CBB08 GRIMM in Marche-en-Famenne. The international team will be set up with a11 volunteers then. Volunteers will build two shelters and take care of similar buildings constructed during previous workcamps. This project is only based on manual and outdoor tasks.
Programme:
July 1st-7th - preparation et training. We will use these days to get to know each other and to prepare together the workcamps. Meanwhile, CBB will also provide an individual training to the volunteer.
July 08th-23rd - campleader in CBB03 in Rendeux.
July 24th-August 5th - 5 days off of projects, punctual animations, and help in the management of a youth exchange in Marche-en-Famenne.
August 6th-21st - campleader in CBB08 in Marche-en-Famenne.
August 22nd-28th - cultural visits.
Accomodation & food:
Out of the workcamps periods: in a house with EVS volunteers. The volunteer will have his/her own individual bedroom. The volunteer will be in charge to do his/her shopping and to prepare his/her own food. During the workcamps: the campleader will live in the projects location and share all his/her time with the international volunteers. The accommodation will be then in a dormitory (CBB03) et in a double bedroom (CBB08). The food is then provided by local partners who ll host the volunteers.
Location & leisure:
The volunteer will spend most of his/her time in Marche-en-Famenne. Marche-en-Famenne is a city in the countryside. One can find everything there: schools, supermarkets, industries- But still, it is surrounded by woods, fields and small villages where the life rhythm remains rural. Liege, Namur, Brussels and Luxembourg can be easily reached by train in about one hour. For more information see: http://www.marche-tourisme.be
Requirements:
- A previous experience as campleader of an international workcamp- A recommendation of a sending organization- Motivation letter- CV- Good English level - Basic knowledge of French.
