You will have one dormitory (so you will sleep all together) in the centre with mats and bathroom with hot shower.Be aware that there is no Internet access in the camp place. The town of Paliseul is 5 kilometres away from the Centre. From there, by train, it is very easy to reach bigger urban centres such as Namur, Brussels, Arlon, Bouillon or Liege.
La Roche is particularly famous for its medieval castle dating from the 9th century. Our local partner found a arrangement and your team will be very lucky. You ll live in a great flat in the La Roche downtown. The flat is located in a characteristic building amidst its own beautiful grounds, the place has its own heated outdoor pool, mini-golf course, tennis court and bowling lane. You ll have also your own kitchen, so don t forget to bring your favourite recipes. At the lunch time, you ll eat your sandwiches on the workplace, but on the evening you ll cook your own meal in the kitchen of your home. Be sure to bring your favorite recipes.

This beautiful little town is famous for Belgians and foreign tourists. The ruins of the castle overhang the city, which is located in the beautiful Ourthe s valley. Although nature is predominant, there are many shops, restaurants, hotels...
In partnership with a construction company focused on social improvement, l Enfance de l Art organises a renovation workcamp in the former boarding school of ) Dames de la Providence i that has hosted for 3 years the new Waldorf school of the French-speaking community of Belgium, as well as a kindergarten in the first of the 6 renovated buildings. This company uses ecological material and techniques that are in harmony with our environment.Volunteers will work from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 12 am and from 2 pm to 4 pm, on the renovation of a third building in order to turn it into a new daycare centre for children from 2 to 3 years old and related premises (toilets, kitchen, dormitory, playroom,...). They will be asked, according to work progress, to work, in 2 or 3 teams, on different techniques and activities:- Wall scarping and application of coating (straw/hemp and lime)- Disassembly of the building and sorting of materials- Renovation works in the gardens and the courtyard- Participation to the management and the preparation of a community kitchen of good quality

The emphasis will be put on the good management of the community kitchen in order to get quality food and avoid food waste as much as possible.

Templeuve is a small town 2 km away from the French border, 20 km away from Lille (France) and 10 km away from Tournai. Templeuve has its own market and neighbourhood shops, is connected to Tournai with a bus service (every hour) and has a flat land without relief, making the use of bicycles very easy (a few bicycles will be provided to volunteers). Tournai is a city that attract people who like old stones, History, museums,... Tournai cathedral has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

C-Paje has a big house in the neighbourhood of Laveu in Liège. This place is for all administrative activities but also for workshops, trainings and meetings with their leaders and youth participants for their activities. The work will be done on the old dovecote at the bottom of the courtyard. The building will be completely renovated with eco-construction techniques; your team will give a helping hand to build the green roof, capping a clay wall, evacuate some old bricks

Your team will lodge in a large room on the ground floor (mattresses are provided), you will have a local just beside to store your luggage and beds because every morning, your dorm room will be your dining room. You will also have a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom. Food suitable for vegetarians and Muslims is available upon request.

This project is based on a dynamic meeting between the volunteers and the residents of the refugee center. With the help of technical leader, volunteers, young and older residents will work together to achieve several missions within the center: development of the outdoor meeting spaces (construction of benches, outdoor games, garden ...), you will also be asked to organize activities for residents: sports, crafts, games. To a lesser extent, you ll also paint some rooms of the centre.

This project requests volunteers with a good level of motivation for its theme and who are prepared for integrate the life of a refugee center. We recommend that they have an idea about the policy concerning refugees in their own country.In order to demonstrate this, we ask the candidate volunteers: -to answer our specific questionnaire (if you do not have it yet, please ask it to your sending organisation). We will not confirm any placement request before analysis of the questionnaire.

Wild animals (deer, foxes or wild pigs) are very close. As the domain is also a tourist center, there are plenty of opportunities for entertainment: outdoor swimming pool, football fields, minigolf, and tennis or basketball playgrounds-During the weekend, it will be possible to organize cultural visits and to travel to the biggest Belgian cities. The town of Ciney is 10 kilometers away from the Domain of Chevetogne. Our local partner is the municipality of Beauraing (9.000 inhabitants). This pretty city is located near the French border. All around are forests and fields but all the facilities are in this lovely place: shops, train station, pubs- Beauraing has a train station and you can easily reach Namur or Brussels by train.

Please take working clothes and shoes with youi boots are just perfect. Check if you have something suitable for a rainy weather.
The volunteers will give a hand and a fresh air to the Centre's animation team - sporting or social games, billiards, film clubs, fitness for women, football tournaments, craft etc. They will also give a hand with manual work like cleaning up a garden or in case of rain - painting interiors. They will be required to get actively involved in the daily life of the Centre. Half of the time will be devoted to proposals of activities for children and adults, according to the population currently present in the Centre. The management team of the centre is very well used to work with volunteers as they have been hosting this workcamp for several years.

Rixensart is located in the Brabant Walloon province, 25 km from Brussels and 7 km from Wavre. The zone is highly urbanised and has all the usual conveniences. Although, in the past, it used to be a rural and agricultural area. Thus, Rixensart still keeps its countryside charm but one can feel the proximity of Brussels (40 minutes by train, 20 by car). Refugees Centre is located outside the town centre, but in a walking distance from the famous local lake Genval, cinema, shops, supermarkets, train station. Requirements:
The camp language is French. This project requests volunteers with a high level of motivation for its theme and who are prepared for the tasks to be achieved. The volunteers must be at least 20 years old and to have a basic knowledge of French. They are asked to have some skills in animation (songs, music, outdoor and indoor games, sports) and to be able to lead activities for a small group. We also recommend that they have an idea about the policy concerning refugees in their own country. In order to demonstrate this, we ask the candidate volunteers:
- to send us a short motivation letter in French (do not be afraid to make mistakes, BUT please do not use any automatic translator). - to answer our specific questionnaire (if you do not have it yet, please ask it to your sending organisation).
