Volunteers will assist SJ Vietnam s Workcamp Coordinators in dealing with organizational and logistical aspects of workcamp. Volunteers will be trained by Workcamp Coordinators to be quickly operational. On the field, volunteers will run workcamps, will make working schedule for short-term volunteers, will be in charge of short-term volunteers orientation and evaluations. At the office, volunteers will update the workcamps info-sheets, will setup regulations, build strategies for workcamp department. This position also requires volunteers to promote the image of SJ Vietnam, and build work manual template for next volunteers who will work as supporters for workcamp department.
Accomodation & food:
Volunteers will stay at the long-term volunteer house or in a host family in Hanoi. If they stay at the LTV House, they will prepare their meals or will eat outside. If they stay in a host family, they will have dinner in their family. Vegetarian catering is possible.
Location & leisure:
Project is located in Hanoi. Hanoi has many historical and cultural places and it is also a famous destination for tourists. Visiting Old Quarters, traditional trade villages are good choices for volunteers at weekends or in free time. Many cultural festivals are held in Hanoi annual so this is a great chance for volunteers to explore the Capital which is 1000 years old.
Requirements:
Volunteers need to have worked with NGOs, and should be enthusiastic, optimistic, and ready to deal with differences. They need to adapt quickly with new environment both in nature and life style. Volunteers are supposed to have management skill.
