“Hold the Future” is a center for young disabled people, mainly from Ha Noi. They have disadvantaged and disabled conditions, and it is really difficult for them to find a job to earn a living. In this center they have training courses, and then work by themselves. Products from the center such as lacquer painting, embroidery, souvenirs, and postcards will be exported to many countries. The money gained from such products, help to pay their salaries. The center has two locations: the first one is for producing the aforementioned products, and the other is for gardening. At the second place they plant fruit trees, pot trees, decorative plants, and vegetables. They even feed fish, poultry etc. All products can be directly used by the participants but a small part is often sold to generate income. The center needs volunteers to join this project, in order to help the director who is also disabled. They can help with website management and PR activities to promote the center. The centre wishes to establish more relationships with similar international organizations, and the center hopes volunteers can help them in create new partnerships. Also they need to have support on designing new production samples, to strengthen and keep speed with competition from other companies. They need to have experts on horticulture as well, so they can investigate in gardening. It is important for the volunteer to be patient, enthusiastic, and hardworking during their time at the center. Experience in PR and designing fields is necessary for volunteers to have a great experience.

« The outside world did not interfere, because it seemed so distant, and so we spent our spare time getting to know each other and learning about each other countries', languages and cultures. Everyone was completely relaxed. This simply would not have been possible on any other type of holiday. VAP enabled me to have a truly memorable experience. »
