1. International Folk Songs teaching: to promote the international cultural exchanges between the children and the volunteers. (International volunteers will be asked to prepare to teach a folk song from their communities; each countryU s volunteers will lead the song teaching along with some cultural facts in the session of 2 hours.)2. Sports activities: every afternoon we will bring the children to the playground of the neighboring elementary school to play sports (e.g. soccer, baseball) as extracurricular activities. It will be highly appreciated that the volunteers can prepare one or two simple ball sports activities and the related regulations in advance. 3. Painting the Offices: through the discussion between the international volunteers and the children, the office area of TFCF Penghu Branch will be painted under the theme of diversified world cultures. It is hoped through such activities the children will increase their recognitions in TFCF works and create positive civic participation effects on them. 4. Exploring the Local Communities: we will divide the international volunteers and the children in several groups and lead them to explore at least 2 of the local communities. We will lead the children to collect information on the communities and guide them to discover the original features of the communities, which might have been neglected in the past. It is hoped that we can strengthen the childrenU s understandings in their own communities.

TFCF will provide free accommodation with simple showering facilities. Sleeping bags are required Food will be offered by TFCF, and the volunteers will be divided into groups to take up the cooking tasks.

Requirements:
Basic knowledge in ball sports (e.g. soccer, baseball) and interests in painting/ decorating the spaces. Enthusiastic and outgoing individuals interested in hosting childrenU s activities. Please submit a brief self-introduction letter, motivation letter (no more than 500 words) and non-criminal record (CGC) upon application.
1) To assist in language, foreign culture, international folklore music, traditional handicrafts, dancing, or sports teaching. The duration of work is estimated to be 18 hours for 3 days. The volunteers will help to increase the world views of teenagers and children who participate. The classes will be designed and prepared by volunteers. 2) To accompany high school students during the 4-day-hiking-journey in Central-Cross. During the journey, accompany and encourage TFCF sponsored high school students, and share this memorable journey with them. To increase self-concepts of members through the process of challenge accomplishing and goal setting. Members can also experience the beauty of Taroko National Park during the journey. 3) During the two international volunteer nights, volunteers can share their cultures with TFCF Yilan Branch cases and community members nearby, to let us understand more about volunteersU country and culture.

The location of accommodation is on the 3rd floor of TFCF Yilan Branch (in Yilan City) besides the Central-Cross hiking activities, and is accommodated with a bathroom, a restroom and a kitchen.2) Stay in Yilan: Volunteers can visit LanYang Museum, center for Traditional Arts, Dong-Shan River, Ta-Ping Mountain et Emerald Peak Lake, ect. 3) Travel in Hualien: Volunteers can visit Taroko National Park, Tzu-Chi, etc.
Location & leisure:
Yilan County, which locates between Taipei and Hualien, is a county near big city, yet still retains its cultural, artistic and folk characteristics. It is a 1-hour-ride to Taipei by buses and a 2-hour-ride to by trains. It takes for about 2 hours to take trains to Hualien.Leisure Activities: 1) Travel in Taipei: Volunteers can visit National Palace Museum, Taipei101, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Office of the President, etc.

Good physical condition, willing to trek, enthusiastic and outgoing individuals interested in hosting childrenU s activities. Please submit a self-introduction letter, motivation letter (no limitations about the number of words and format) and non-criminal record (CGC) upon application in order to assure the safety of participated children.Volunteers should cover the transportation and living expenses by themselves during free schedule. TFCF will provide free meals et accommodations during the camp working days.
